28 is Buffalo because they had the better RS record despite being eliminated in the same round.

25 and 26 are Jacksonville and NYG respectively because of their regular season records combined with when they were eliminated

29 to 30 will be the championship game losers with the worse regular season records

31 will be the super bowl loser and 32 will be the super bowl winner

Do you think Will Levis falls to 27?? I doubt it, but if he does I'm running to turn in that card to Goodell at the podium
Top 5 pick....headed to Colts....book it

Jerry won't draft a QB in the first round. To much money invested in Dak. He will just make another batch of kool-aid and convince the fan base that Dak is better and we are going to the Superbowl

With the egirls having 2 first round picks, we will be looking at a wildcard run at best. The rich gets richer.
Well their draft picks did next to nothing for them this year.

I suppose they could trade one again...hope they do.

There will only be 31 first rounders. The Steelers, picking at #32, will have the first pick in the 2nd round. They won't have a 5th year option for that pick.
Not sure that reasoning is going to fly. Technically there are 32 first round picks and one has been taken away, but it’s still there. I’m sure it will be litigated. If I’m the Steelers I want the 5th yesr option and if I’m the player I want the extra dough

Agree but the old saying “the law of averages” especially drafting early with the saints pick, they could strike oil.

That would be the shortest litigation in NFL history I expect. In 2016 the New England Patriots forfeited their first round pick (would have been pick #29). There were 31 picks in the first round, ending with Germain Ifedi going to Seattle. His contract contained a 5th year option which Seattle declined in 2019. At pick 32, the Browns selected Emmanuel Ogbah with the first pick in the 2nd round. His 4 year contract did not contain a 5th year option as he was a second round pick (per the CBA). He played a few years in Cleveland, was traded to the Chiefs, then signed with Miami in 2020 as a free agent.

The 26th pick is a real good trade piece especially if Washington tags Payne. I would offer Washington two first rounds for Payne. That is the gamble I would make in the offseason.

Yeah cause the last one they made for Brown turned out so badly

Might be a good idea to put that bottle down before posting
Ya, keep trading your picks for players. That works in the long run.

We have seen many teams employ that strategy and fail.(See Commanders) They keep going to that well and it will destroy their cap and ruin their future.

In the long run? You mean like the 27 year run of mediocrity we have had? Meanwhile the teams that have made trades (Philly and Niners) have been to multiple CCGs and SBs

Take off your homer glasses and learn to think

We made a trade too and fixed a weakness...hence why SF struggled in the run game.

SF didn't do what Philly did, in fact, they were closer to what we did with almost no FA's and built their team through the draft. My money is on SF this week btw.

Yes and I guess hypothetically if you want to use your 7th round pick for the next 20 years on QBs you might find a good one. However the majority of starting QBs, especially good ones, are found in the upper half of the first round. There is a reason that players like WIlson, Dak, and Brady are considered noteworthy and it is because they are the rare exception.
And Wilson and Prescott are fringe starters / bus drivers that have proven to need all the help they can get to succeed. When they are left on an island to be "the man" they fail putridly like Dak in 2019 and especially Russell Wilson's tenure in Denver.

As for Brady he just got very lucky with the Bledsoe injury. His limitation was always his lack of athleticism and mobility, never had the strongest arm especially for his tall height and solid build, but everyone just underestimated his brain, ambition, drive, heart, moxie. Things that don't show up with the combine.
