you mean like in the Florida game?

did he get open even once?

I really think Gonzalez is destined to be a mediocre to run of the mill 3rd WR at best...I'd just assume stay with Crayton...bigger, runs good routes, has just as good if not better hands and is an outstanding blocker

If Ginn wouldn't of twisted his ankle i believe that game would of at least been a hell of a lot closer, all the coverage got put on less superior guys. This would be like double coverage on TO and then Glenn gets one on one.

perhaps they were too quick, that could explain why he uncharactilisticallyaaklfjdaklsfjda dropped balls left and right at the Combine

Did he really? I hadn't heard.

yep, he was slipping and sliding all over the place, dropping balls left and right, he was horrible in the gauntlet drill, even though that drill is worthless, but still, he was horrible in the position drills

huh, interesting, I would have figured that he would have had a solid performance in position drills.

I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, I had him ranked as a "Bottom of Roster" player in my WR rankings

...it's almost as if I know the future...

So it appears the general consensus is Gonzalez is not worthy of our 2nd round pick. What do you guys think of Aundrae Allison?

hearing more and more about this guy - is he good enough to step up and be a #1 or #2 in a year or so?

He isn't a #1 WR. But he can be a fine #2 WR.

He runs great routes and has great hands. He is solid. He reminds me of a Steve Largent type. That kind of WR isn't your #1 Go-to guy. But he could certainly be a solid #2. And having a solid #2 is a huge asset.

I like Gonzo in Round 2. In my opinion, he is the #6 WR (CJ, Bowe, Ginn, Meachem, Jarrett) and definitely a better pick in the 2nd round than Rice or any of the next tier of WRs. You know what you are getting with Gonzo and it is solid. He has a very low boom to bust rating.

The guy has 4.46 speed. Which is superior to Bowe, Rice and Jarret.

Break down Gonzales and his production really isn't very good. Even this year, it wasn't great. He had a good game against Texas but then, he was pretty much in single coverage against a freshman CB. Look at what Florida did against him with Ginn out of the equation and I think that you get a better idea of what Gonzales might project to in the NFL. His production in college is not really all that great. I don't know how you project a guy like this in the 2nd round but some teams are doing it. I guess I just don't agree.

Gonzo showed his worth in the FL game. Tedd Ginn made him famous. Without Ginn drawing all the attention Gonzo was worthless. I wouldn't take him before the fifth.
