I'm starting Tony when he's 100% healthy. He's the better qb this year. With that said, I'm loving Prescott and can't wait to see what the next decade with him brings

What if he's 100% healthy heading into PHI week? With the Browns right behind that game?

Based on what?
Based on he is the better QB that has faced and scored on all the top Defenses in the league

Dak may be better soon, but not yet

Went to bed in the 3rd...so yes...and no lol

But thanks for bringing that to my attention.

247 passing TD's > 1 passing TD

That changes EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

STUPID comparison given one has been in the league for 10 years. Experience and records don't mean Romo is necessarily the best option for this team going forward. Way to be astute in evaluating the qb situation.

Catch-22 there.
A. I am not sure if Romo should see his first game action in almost a year against that front 7

B. Romo does know the Eagles and would give us an edge over Dak

C. Start Dak but have a short leash if that defense gives him trouble

It is going to be interesting when that time comes, I sure would not want to be the one making the call if Dak has us well over .500

Who do you start against GB or another team with a superior QB, both being healthy? Who reads defenses better and is more capable of staying in a scoring race? Who gives us a better chance to score 30+ understanding our defense is not going to just allow 20PPG to a team with an elite QB.

The answer is clearly Romo. Dak seems capable of winning games against average perhaps a bit better than average teams. I doubt he can win against the Philly defense I saw yesterday. There are other teams out there who we will have trouble beating with Dak at the helm.......as it is now. He's going to grow but he's still got a ways to go learning to play NFL QB.

I was astute...you think when Rodger or Brady throws 5-6 TD's on us that Dak can keep up? Not happening.

i am a big romo fan but if the team keeps winning with dak and he continues to play as he has then garrett and the jones need to do what is best for the future of the team. if keeping dak as the starter for the rest of the year is best then he needs to stay the starter. romo has not won anything for this team in the ten years he has been here so if Prescott is our future then I think that dak should be the starter and maybe trade or release romo next year and let him continue his career elsewhere and let dak take over as the starting qb. now if he struggles the next three weeks and we do not win another game until the bye and romo is ready then he needs to take over. I am all for who give us the best chance to win if dak is the man then he needs to stay if not I will support romo when he is able to play again.

i love it. in preseason we have "Tony throwing better than he has since before 2014"

300 lb man running crushes him into the ground

"Tony is clearly done"

hahaha. People are so objective.

Romo has been a great player, and representative for the franchise, but he hasn't played significant football in nearly two years. I think his time is up. It's sad that most of his career was squandered on Jerry training Garrett on how to be a coach and he didn't get any o-line help until it was too late, but he will go down as one of the greatest Cowboys in the history of the franchise.

Yes, very astute comparing a decade's worth of accumulated stats to a rookie's first TD. I guess Tony shouldn't have replaced Bledsoe, since you know, Bledsoe had more TD's than him at the time. You are illogical and evaluate on emotions. Good for you.

Done or not, he's going back in very soon and I wish I could be sitting on the couch watching you and the rest of the Dak-offs faces as it happens... get ready for it.

He did nothing last year. Has done nothing this year. Has 2 playoff wins in 10 years. 36 years old.

Yeah, safe to say hes done.

So you are perfectly fine with an old, washed up, broken down QB hindering the progress of Daks development as a qb? Yeah.. Just what I thought. Most of this forum is filled with Romo fans, not Cowboys fan.

10 years, 2 playoff wins. lol.

Safe to say you're wishing it and safe to say you'll lose and safe to say you'll complain for another year.

He's coming back because people whose jobs are on the line and have spent their entire lives in the sport know he gives us the best chance to win. Maybe they'll ask you for your advice.

Oh, and be happy about those two playoff wins. Otherwise, those teams are 4-12 every single year. If you don't believe me check out our record with him and without him.

His development? He's 23 years old... I'm sure he can survive the horrible occurrence of going back to the bench like all backups must do. Aaron Rodgers didn't throw a single pass until he was 25, and Romo didn't until he was 26. He'll live.

He's the backup... he's going back to the bench.
