Dak did pick up a TD last night, so he is on pace for 5 for the year. Of course, nearly half of the QBs in the league had 30 TDs or more last year, so it's an interesting experiment, that's for sure.
Much is made over the fact that Brady has the record of 162 attempts without an INT to start a a career, but he was already in his 2nd year at the time, and Brady didn't throw a TD until his third start after he took over from Bledsoe.

Romo still gives them the best chance to go deep in the Playoffs.....getting back in there healthy will make us better.......he knows the Offense inside and out and with EE back there he can really shine like 2014......it will also take the load off of Dak......expecting him to play 20 games as a rookie is too much

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Nearly 10 years ago, midway through a nationally televised night game, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe threw a short pass to the left flat that was intercepted by New York Giants cornerback Sam Madison a yard shy of the end zone. It brought a frustrating end to the Cowboys' final drive of the first half, and with the home team staring at a 12-7 deficit, Bledsoe retreated to the locker room at Texas Stadium intent on mounting a comeback.

Little did Bledsoe know that he had just thrown the final pass of his 14-year career.

As Bledsoe sat at his locker contemplating second-half adjustments, then-Cowboys quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer stormed into the room and announced that his boss, Bill Parcells, had decided to replace Bledsoe with his untested backup -- a decision with overtones that would alter the course of the franchise for the next decade.

If/when Romo returns, it really is only a matter of time (plays), unfortunately, when he gets injured again - he simply can not be counted on
Romo should just be the backup.

there is no disgrace in that.

Even as #2..

he would still possibly help us if he's completely healthy and ready.

If they can let him heal completely and give him at least 10 weeks to do that..

all the better.

Is this the real Drew or the " Tony H***" Drew?

Did he mention cheeseburgers anywhere?

I remember how sour Bledsoe looked after getting benched. It was like someone took his ball away. He pouted the rest of the game and do not recall him helping Romo with the transition.

some are under-estimating the greatest force on earth....relationships. Romo will start when healthy (I don't agree with it).

We need to play Romo for the very least in order to increase his trade value. We need to be able to trade his huge contract if the decision is made to move on.

I think he is untradable at this point and his salary demands that he start. So everyone that is ready to move on to Dak will likely have to wait until next season. At that point we either trade Romo for whatever we can get, or cut him and take the ridiculous cap hit.

The best the Cowboys can hope for is that Romo decides to retire at season end. Sad but true.

what romo gives is the audible.
what dak gives is his legs.

but the best thing is at least they can allow romo to get healthy, and make a good decision.

i think romo is still better, and would have more tds in the redzone than dak. maybe if the defense was better like the broncos, i'd take dak with the fewer turnovers. but against the better teams, i dont think dak can keep scoring with them.

Tony's the better player. He also deserves the job back this season in case of a tie, given all he's given the organization. Though Dak's making it a surprisingly more interesting question than I honestly ever thought he could this season.

Already, I found myself checking to see if maybe we consider sitting Tony for that first PHI game, and start him against the Browns instead. Let the fans have their Wentz v. Dak playoff, avoid the risk of further injury to Tony against that Eagles defense, and give him a patsy to warm up against his first game back. At this point, and I"m assuming Tony's body is able to play the week after the bye, I actually prefer sitting him another week and not giving him the game back with two weeks to prepare. That right there is a huge shift from where I was at the end of training camp.

I think people forget just how good Tony Romo is. Fragile? Sure, but dont confuse that with being a bad player. Save the qb controversy for the offseason.
He is good. How soon we forget. It's been too long. I remember like two years ago..don't remember who we played but I was like I'll never bash on Romo again. He was awesome. He's not done. But I'm cool with Dak as Romo gets healthy. Go Cowboy's

Couldn't agree more. I dont understand why some are so passionate over this. Why cant we just accept that we have two really really good quarterbacks on this roster?
