What part do you not understand busted coverage? There was blockers that came up the middle untouched, In no way was Romo to blame for that play ... And you obviously didn't read my post, because it was more about how Brees couldn't win with the same garbage Romo has, so why do people expect Romo to win with it? I mean I know he's like da best QB of all time, but c'mon now.

I won't lie. I didn't read any of your post outside of the title.

Here's the deal with the infamous play. In most cases, throwing the ball away on busted blitz coverage is perfectly understandable...hell, with Romo, I might even applaud it every now and then. But on 4th down with his shadow in his own endzone the very least he could have done is throw the ball in the general vicinity of one of his receivers to see if they can't make a play. For him to not understand that an interception would have been preferable to what he actually did is ridiculous considering how long he has been in the league. For many years, I have actually been a Romo supporter. My resolve had been faltering up until that play. Now, I have absolutely zero faith in him,...and by the way, the reason I did not read the OP is because Drew Brees and Tony Romo do not even belong in the same sentence together. I really don't need to know your opinion, to know that much.

Elite stats do not make an elite Quarterback.

P.S. If my tone comes off as annoyed, please know it is not at you.

Oh please.... he had no time to make any kind of adjustment at all. And an interception would not have been preferable if a fast defender gets his hands on the ball and is able to return it all the way. Go sit back down and the couch and play Madden. At least that you have a grasp on.

Sorry, but the way our defense has been playing, an interception for a Touchdown might have even been preferable to what he did. At least the Bears wouldn't have the opportunity to drain more time of the clock before they scored again.

blind homers.

Brees is a future HOFer.

Romo has one playoff win in 8 years.. lmao

What has Brees done when he was in the same situation as Romo, in regards to poor defense and no coaching? Ohh, that's right, he went 7-9. At least Romo can make week 17 relevant regardless of the worst passing defense, ever.

LoL, Romo defenders go to such great lengths to keep him out of the toilet the Cows of the last decade have swooshed around in . He'll end his career in Dallas with as much a chance to play in a Super Bowl as Jerruh has a chance to be hired as GM by any of the other NFL franchises. Zero, zilch, zippo.

Brees has a real coach in Sean Payton. Romo is stuck with the Red headed Idiot and his on the job training. Sadly it is probably the huge mistake of letting Sean Payton get away that caused Jerry to hire Garrett and eventually make him the head coach. Had we had Payton as head coach since Tuna left, I believe we would have at least one more Lombardi trophy. Oh well, at least we have our .500 seasons to look forward to.

As good as Brees was in 2009 -- and he was outstanding -- the Saints don't win the Super Bowl unless both of these things happen:

Saints' defense holds all opposing QB to a 68.1 rating over the course of the regular season (3rd-lowest in the NFL)
Saints' defense holds Favre to a 70.0 (37.2 points lower than his season rating) in the NFC Championship game, an overtime game.

People who think it's all about the quarterback are half right. It's all about both quarterbacks. Yours and your opponent's.

So by that logic, Eli is better than Brees?

What part of "Super Bowl" don't you understand?

Eli has two Super Bowls. Brees has one. Romo has one... playoff win. Somebody doesn't belong here. Eli has more Super Bowls than Romo has playoff wins, lmao.

Are you that shallow on every topic regarding Football? How about looking a little deeper and understanding WHY that's the case, or is that too hard for you? Geez. o_O

Oh great, another one of those "it's all about the QB" people. No, the Giants have two Super Bowls, when they had really good/great defenses. New Orleans has one Super Bowl, when they had a great defense that led the lead in turnovers and scoring. GB won the SB when they had a top 5 defense. Aside from that, Rodgers hasn't won a playoff game. QB's don't win Super Bowls. TEAMS. WIN. SUPERBOWLS! Put either of those QB's (or any other QB over the last 15 years for that matter) and they don't have any rings.

So if Brees is better than Romo because he has a Super Bowl win, how is Eli not better than Brees for having more Super Bowl wins? I don't follow
