Garrett made a statement about it. I thought he said sideline work until training camp but I'm not certain.

It went from participating in rookie camp to sideline work, and be full participant in OTA's. As those are not with pads. Then at the start of TC, every other day. That was as of right before rookie camp.
But we know this is all fluid, and can change at any time they deem to, depending on any reason they want to give. And none of that should be taken good or bad at this point.

How did your injury occur?

I would guess the main thing with this type is to keep changing it out because I would think it might lose effectiveness after a period of time when the plastic gets "stretched".

It requires very little force to move the foot back up so the brace really does not have to do much.

Jaylon seems to be wearing a shorter type brace because nothing can be seen above his socks.

Mine was in the mid 70's, so this technology, not only in these braces, but surgeries as well are light years ahead of what I had. Mine was much more complicated than ACL's and a stretched nerve.
I had both Achilles, as well as other ligaments operated on, from a virus infection. Caused nerve damage and the drop foot as well as a few other issues. Affected my hand sand feet.
I still have drop foot in both feet, and do not wear the braces. I have not worn them for over 35 years, probably close to 40. I still played sports and jogged without them, but non competitive.

Have I tripped some, and most the time just a stumble. But the times I fell, never a serious injury. Sprained ankles, badly bruised big toe a few times.
However, this never kept me from doing what I wanted to do.
This is why I have no doubt that Jaylon will be out there playing at a high level this year.

I put more stock in your post alone than in 99% of the articles I've read about Jaylon and his infamous nerve.

Thanks for sharing, man.

The timeline for the nerve to regenerate has apparently past.

It was a good gamble but it looks like he'll be a fraction of his former self in the NFL.

It's the information I read. Timeline past.

Wasn't the timeline 12-18 months? We haven't even gone 18 months beyond the time when Smith got injured.

I can't keep up with all the reports and such on Smith.

It's medically incorrect & laughably idiotic. But that seems to be what you live for.

Let's see. A surgeon with expertise in this area

Or

Some Joe Schmoe poster wearing facepaint on a fan forum.

Tough call.

So now that we know Jaylon will remain permanently injured you have to lower your expectations.

What about the doctor who actually performed his surgery saying that Jaylon's still on track and making good progress?

I know you love to stir the pot and probably laugh at getting a rise out of so many people, but come on. This isn't a good one

I don't buy everything the team tries to sell me. This is what's confusing you. I think for myself. I've seen/heard numerous doctors state it's highly unlikely at this point that he makes a full recovery and considering he still can't lift his foot today that makes sense to me.
