News: Drop Foot. A Death Sentence Or Diluted Talking Point For Jaylon Smith?

I think the surgeon quoted was qualified to speak on it.

Timeline past.

Deal with it.

No, you attempt to put words and meaning for Dr. Cooper...what was provided, was a general recovery projection. Don't attempt to speak for Dr. Cooper...or prove your metal with a current quote.

I don't buy everything the team tries to sell me. This is what's confusing you. I think for myself. I've seen/heard numerous doctors state it's highly unlikely at this point that he makes a full recovery and considering he still can't lift his foot today that makes sense to me.

Now, prove he can't lift his foot, or come clean...

If he wears a afo it will affect him. That's a fact not an opinion. The first pic of the 2 will affect him more, that is the type I wear. The 2nd pic of the single one is for people who need less lift in their foot. That one won't affect him like the 1st one but it will affect him. Anyone who thinks afo will not affect him put one on and walk around and run with it in. Go side to side, forward and backwards Ect.... It affects you. Doesn't mean he can't play with it just means he won't be the player he was and what we hoped we were getting.

So you like to buy in to the opinion of someone who has no working knowledge of this specific case? Got it.

I realize I may come across as cynical but if history serves correct, we will see and hear just enough of Jaylon in OTAs to answer no question while keeping the marketing mystery in full swing.
I frankly am indifferent about it all.

He plays..he plays.

He stays out another year.

we wait.

Right. He's damaged goods. Permanently. Now it's just a question of how far back he can come. 75%-80% might not be enough to be a productive pro. 15%-20% makes him an upgrade over Hitchens.

What really bugs me is how many here seem to WANT Jaylon to fail. They call it being realistic BUT the the near joy they seem to take anytime there is even a hint of bad news says it all.

It seems like the idea the Cowboys basically stole arguably the best defensive player in the 2016 draft is too good to be true for a lot of fans. They will remain cynical until he actually lines up on the field and starts making plays.

I don't think they want Jaylon to fail, they just don't want to get their hopes too high only to have them crushed. I can understand that.

I like to buy in to someone with a medical degree and years of familiarity with this injury over some joe schmoe two bit poster cheerleading for their team.
