Dropped passes yardage

Watching this team all season,no way we only have 22 drops. Without researching I call bs. Only one drop a game average.

That's because for most people (not saying you) their definition of a drop is any pass within 5 feet of a reciever or 5 feet above his head

No I’m specifically referencing passes that hit both the receivers hands and they didnt come down with the reception. I’m aware Dak had miminun accuracy issues but His receivers had a lot of drops. I counted8 in the last two games alone and I’m suppose to believe our receivers only had 22 drops? BS

This is a really strange thread.

Its one of the several Dakota Apologists threads going around........there will be more to follow........looking forward to how they react to the "Trigger" of Dak getting Franchised.

I agree with this statement but all QBs have thrown bad passes but yet their receivers make outstanding catches to help their QB. I blame both receivers and Dak for drops but if a receiver gets two hands on the ball they must catch it. Being more accurate will help, no doubt about it
Good points. Sir

Hmm when we played the Saints we picked Teddy in the game, still could only score 10 measly points when all we needed was 13, as for the season The Pats had 36 takeaways we had 17 (that includes todays games. The Saints had 22 takeaways to our 17. Get your facts straight

I combined them to get that number. But regardless it doesn't matter how you do the math we had 17 takeaways and were in the bottom 5 again. The Pats and Ravens had 19 more takeaways. That is a mind numbing statistic. As a matter of fact, no team since 2011 has had fewer INTs than Jason Garrett and we are the 5th worst in total takeaways under his tenure. And we led the league this year in worst starting avg field position. The damning statistics go on and on with Garrett.

Lol to all the people saying that some of those drops were off target throws. Do y’all know that drops are registered only for catchable passes?

It isn’t counted as a drop of it’s not a catchable pass. If you think the NFL has skewed what a catchable pass is just for Dak then you’ve got a tinfoil hat on.

Uhh not always, you know you can have a dropped pass on lets say First and Goal and still get the TD or FG, right?
A drop on 2&8 will make it exponentially harder to continue the drive. Drops at any point in a drive contribute to it stalling.

I don’t know how anyone can just gloss over the fact that we led the league in drops. When your special teams is amongst the worse in the league and your defense is allergic to turnovers, you have to be virtually perfect on offense. You cut those drops in half and the O probably does enough to get a W or two.

Even with the drops, a middle of the pack ST or turnover rate would’ve done it.

I just calculated how much all the near accidents would have costed my insurance company and asked them for a check

I’m my estimation I saved them like 2 million
