Dropped passes yardage

Can’t use that, but that drop against the egirls by Gallup hurt real bad.

Is there a site out there that charts QB throws and accuracy? I know Dallas has a lot of dropped passes but how many of them are a yard behind the receiver or just barely in his reach? How many times have we seen a receiver running free and the guy has to slow down to catch a ball behind him and then he gets tackled?

I know this was meant as a pro-Dak thread but is it really? If Dak had hit people in the numbers more consistently, how many more yards and TD's would Dallas have had? Dallas' O-line gave Dak a lot of time this year. The receivers were frequently getting open. With a good throwing QB, would this offense have generated a lot more points?

Qualifications:
- Receivers at the NFL level are supposed to catch balls behind them or just at the edge of their reach. That said, if you throw behind a guy 100 times, he is going to drop more than if you hit him in the numbers 100 times.
- All QB's have errant throws. I suspect Dak has more accuracy problems than top QB's but that's just a gut feeling. I would like an objective quantitative study if it exists.

I’ve seen thread after thread with multiple sources on yards of separation, degree of difficulty percentages, and missed throws per game and all of them seem to indicate Dak is right around league average. Almost all of these outlets have him anywhere from 12th-17th.

I feel like he can keep improving because that’s what he’s been doing since 2017. Those who swear he’s done getting better are really underestimating how much progress he’s made and how much more he’ll make with a better coaching staff.

Btw A.Rod’s been hovering in the high 50’s low 60’s for the month of December. He probably missed 5 or 6 easy completions that would have resulted in big gains. A lot of us watch only cowboys ball but take a look at all the games you’ll see 3-5 misses a game from each qb, it’s part of the game.

your point is Dak puts up some of the hollowest stats in the nfl?

Most of you won't remember, but this was the Scott Mitchell argument. "Put him on the 9ers blah blah blah"

defensive efficiency was bottom 10. that's more telling than just overall stats. dak threw for 4900 yards this season and yet you want to dump him lol

No it's not but you go with that if you think it helps your cause. In the meantime our D held NO to 12 points and we lost, they held the Pats to 13 points and we lost and they held the Eagles to 17 points and we lost (all games on the road) we win any one of those games and we are division champs. I just saw the Dolphins put up 27 on that great NE defense in NE in a game to give the Pats home field advantage and a 1st round bye in the playoffs. Maybe we should go out and sign Fitzgerald to QB our offense

Still ranked 14th in these ratings going into the skins game, nowhere near being bottom 10 and they probably went up after that game

I mean he got 5,000 yards dinking and dunking ... did you not see Gallup drop 2 deep balls for TDs against Philly.

Dak attack lololo. Does this board allow homers to change user name to whatever mediocre “qb attack” they get next?

“Um if Dallas wide outs didn’t drop passes, and defenses were only allowed 5 defenders on defense, and dak was 9 downs and 10 yards to get a first down, and the oline was allowed to hold, and the one dback on the field had to use just socks, no cleats, dak would have thrown for 10,926 yards.

Our defense was good enough to hold the Saints to 12 the pats to 13 and the Eagles to 17, we lost all three. Did i mention that the hapless Dolphins went into NE today and put up 27 on that Pats D to knock them out of a 1st round bye. If only Fitzgerald was our QB!!

I hate the Saints game. Every first down we ran it up the middle with Zeke even when they stacked the box. In the Pats game the run game started to click. Then we started passing. Basically, we got cute. Eagles game was a sheer collapse of our entire team. Certainly, our coaches can find a way to win against a bunch of scrubs.

The Pats and Bills are also tied for drops with us...they made the playoffs. Saints and 49's are only 3 drops less than us , they made the playoffs too
True but they also have players who put it all on the line. Quite unlike the clowns we have playing for us.

Think about it... as much as Heath and Lee have been shown disrespect, who played harder than those 2 this year?

Other teams that made the playoffs all have a bunch of players in that mold, we unfortunately have way too many Jaylons

Him having the most dropped passes is not a shocking statistic, dude throws a ugly ball that's usually behind the WR.

Good post... Our offense (QB) has a tendency to disappear for weeks at a time, and it's not just this season.

This tends to happen when you have an average QB that doesn't make anyone around him better, he requires elite talent and EVERYTHING to be going his way in order to succeed. This is not the mark of a franchise QB.

Have you every seen a QB benefit from so many dropped interceptions?

Dak must throw a ball that's hard to catch for everybody.
It's funny you mention that, I was having this conversation the other day. He throws such a bad ball that even the defenders have trouble catching a wide open INT.

I believe dropped passes by receivers, tight ends & running backs has lead to loss of 500yds + and 10 TDs of the board.

Dak’s real stats is 5,500 yards 40 TDs and 11-5 season.

You didn’t subtract all of the lost yardage for not hitting receivers in stride. What about missing all wide open receivers for TDS? What about not seeing the wide open receivers when his first read was covered because he can’t process thru his progressions? What about all the sacks when he could have stepped up in the pocket and had 2 more seconds to throw the ball. This is the dumbest post in the history of this board. Keep slobbering over your fraud QB! Keep rolling in your mediocrity!
