Exactly, in the 2015 FA period the contract only needed an annual value of 3.5 Million to get back a 6th rounder.. This may not get us a 5th, but it won't be lower than a 6th.

McClain was our best DL for stretches of last season, but this is a big overpayment. And he wasn't even in a team's training camp when Marinelli pushed to sign him (McClay too, no doubt). After this contract, McClain's next child will be named "Rod" - boy or girl.
