Dwayne Harris deserves his own thread

You can't change the past only how you do things moving forward. Dallas has some young talented players on this team. Unfortunatly some are out for the season. They clearly have areas that need improvment but then you can say that about a lot of team with areas of weakness. Coming out of last season i don't think anyone could say the secondary was not in need and Dallas addressed it. I would like to see us do more on the OL and think they will.

I'm not saying Jerry does not deserve heat just that if you are going to put blame on past bust on Jerry at least give him and the organization for many young players who are showing good talent.

Doomsday, Jerry has improved over the years but there are still aspects that he should improve on. He has neglected the oline and the dline for a while now. Just think if Romo had a better oline and if Ware had at least one dlineman that was talented. Their current record would be better than the 8-6 as of right now (Don’t get me wrong I'm glad we are in the hunt for the playoffs).

I'm not complaining, but I hold Jerry accountable when there is not a good product on the field.

But you also do not forget history.

No but you put history behind you so that you can move forward. Dallas can't do anything to change what has taken place. When Jerry hired BP he also changed how the Cowboys would do business in terms of getting talent. Not all have worked out but not all picks will work out be in Dallas or any where else. You can change what you do but you can't change what was already done. You move on

Yes OL need to be addressed and DL, but the ILB had to be changed did we do that? Yes when Lee and Carter were drafted. Was the secondary in need yes and that too has some what been addressed. Nothing can be done about the injury but the talent has been brought up. Had Dallas taken an OL player or 2 and did nothing to correct the secondary then the same people would be hollering about that. Yes we have weakness on the OL however vs one of the top defense in the league that OL did a pretty damn good job today

harris has 3 plays wehre he made something out of nothing. Absolutely huge game for the cowboys

Can we now be rid of Ogletree?

Harris brings something to the table Ogletree does not.

I think Ogletree will be a free agent after the season.

Let him walk and Harris becomes the third wideout.

To be honest with you, I would let Austin go and have Harris the second wideout.

Sorry, after fourteen years Jerry need to prive he has a clue.

I do not play for this team and my attitude and opinion will not make one difference. As will no one else on this board.

But I remember, and I am judicious with how I spend my money on this team now.

I refuse to abet Jones' mismanagement.

You can beat that dead horse all day but when I see much of the young talent on this team and I see Jones allowing the coaches to do their job then it becomes a matter of players and coaches doing their job. Jerry is not stopping a damn thing.

You are correct about the Lee and Carter issue, but they had a "history" of being injured too and Jerry knew that. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad their Cowboys but it's showing right now. Dallas had an opportunity of completing or finishing the Oline this past offseason in free agency and the draft. It didn't happen. Romo has gone through a lot physical pain due to Jerry not evaluating the situation properly. I know you are saying it’s the past, but Jerry is not learning from the past and that concerns me.

I just disagree. But when I'm wrong about Jerry, I love to eat my crow.

Anyone miss Laurent Robinson? I even forgot his name until I Googled it. So yes, I'm really happy to see Dez and Harris emerge. I also like Cole and hope that Danny Coale will come back healthy next year. Plus that James Hanna kid has ridiculous WR like moves for a TE. Can't wait to see him more involved too.

With Dez, Austin, Harris and Beastley, the WR position is looking good for the future

Good things happen when the ball is in his hands. Clutch punt returns. Some huge yards after the catch. I thought he should've taken the punt to the house but I'll give him a pass!

I love the toughness and run-after-catch ability of our 2 young WRs(Bryant/Harris). Hopefully we continue to find more creative ways to get him the ball in space.

Here here.

He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players on this team next to Dez. When he first came in I wasn't sold. But I have been a huge supporter of his. Love what he brings to the table just a compact size of Dez! Love this kid can't wait for him to just really exploded. I thank Kevin for what he has done but he just doesn't have the game breaking ability. I like the kid and think he works hard. But I want more Harris.

Love Harris. What is up with guys trying to tackle him in the head area a lot. Somebody needs to look into that.

...exception pad level. He does it with good hip flexibility making him very elusive.

It sort of looks like he is running with his hair on fire hence the Marion Barber comments.

I loved that pick and was happy to see him get into the PS , ( it was dumb to not to cut tree) but happy to see him finally become regulr in team & flourish, he worked real hard in TC and showed flashes in the pre season.

In fact once he catches the ball he has more wiggle than Dez. Only thing I can point is jumping capability like the int he let happen last week...

jerry gets credit. the way he was pointing at him after punt return looked like a man pleased with himself. :lmao2:
That's what Jerry lives for, credit. Anyways, I'm loving Harris, he comes off as a really intelligent player, and a fearless player. But that's just me.

Really like what I have seen from Harris, Beasley and Hanna. That's three good, young guys to help Romo now and next year.

Beasley - I really love his quicks and ability to quickly turn the ball up the field. I'm not sure if I've ever seen quicker WR in the league. His feet are just lightening quick out there.

Harris - I just love his strength and RAC ability out there. He now must master being where Romo expects him to be and he can expect to get the ball more and more regularly over time. There will be lots of open looks with all the attention paid to Miles, Dez and Witten. I really like him in the screen game - he has that extra bit of shake and Miles and Dez lack to be elite at it.

Hanna - All we heard about after the draft was that he could run fast in a straight line but couldn't catch the ball. Yet, I've yet to see or hear of him dropping one. It looks like he is stealing more and more snaps from Phillips lately. The thing that catches the eye with him is how fast and fluid he is out there and I think we have a great potential weapon to pair with Witten in 2-TE looks like the Pats do with Hernandez and Gronk. However, Hanna is a true TE whereas Hernandez is really more of a big WR so that adds in even more versatility.

I also think Danny Coale should make a run at a roster spot next season.

I am glad we rid the roster of Holmes as I didn't see the infatuation with him - just a big kid who couldn't separate and had poor hands so couldn't use his size effectively to shield off defenders. I also don't see a role here for Ogletree although I do feel the board is way too negative on him. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns up elsewhere and does well - he has been much better this year than last year. I don't know what to think of Anthony Armstrong as he is old (29), doesn't run routes well and doesn't have good hands. I assume we brought him in to try him out as a deep threat but I don't see him sticking next year.
