I may be in the minority here, but I thought Harris lost a bit of his explosiveness last season, at least as compared to the season before.

I think where we would miss him is his blocking from the WR position and STs coverage. But you don't pay what the Giants paid him for that.

So this is why the Cowboys tendered Lance Dunbar. I think he can be a good kick returner; and they can use Beasley on punts.

Giants are going on a spending spree and are overpaying guys like Harris and linebacker J.T. Thomas (who??). It's like they're the new Commanders.

I think we will look to pick up a guy in the Draft as well.

He lost a step last season. Dunno if he was injured but he wasn't a threat with the ball in his hands.

Love watching these other NFC East teams make incredibly stupid FA moves. Its our division to lose next season, and as long as we got Romo under center.

Absolutely. Get a back in the draft (if Murray does leave) and a pass rusher (Greg Hardy???) and the Cowboys are a 12 win team again.

Luckily our division sucks because we are losing ground quickly on the upper echelon teams.

Oh no doubt. We don't have many glaring holes like we used to.

Barring a major injury, this team can play with anyone. Which is why the GB call pisses me off so much.

I had no doubt we would've gone up to Seattle and beaten them soundly. And the Pats weren't exactly that dominating of a team, they were a dumb coaching decision and a terrible throw by Wilson away from losing their 3rd SB in a row.

Lol what? Who are the upper echelon teams?

Seattle - beat them in their house and would've beaten them again in the NFCC game.

Green Bay - they had to steal one from us in their house. They don't want to see us again next year.

Indy - We embarrassed them.

I can make a case we're the best team in the league, and with a few sound FA moves and a solid draft I don't think it will even be close.

Well, I forgot that they do need corner help too. But a great pass rush can make an average secondary look good.

No glaring holes? Right now Keith Rivers is a starter?
Patmon is our 3rd corner.
Pass rush is terrible.
Zero depth at Dr.
No kick returner.

I agree. Harris wasn't a burner, but he had always been super explosive and quick in space. This last season, he looked like he was running in mud. He was still a good player, but he didn't look the same to me.

Kick returners are a thing of the past. 9/10 you're starting from the 20.

Sean Lee is coming back. Ro won't be going anywhere. Carter isn't that bad. Not worried about our LB situation.

Mo Claiborne is our 3rd corner right now. And Patmon isn't exactly terrible.

Not sure what position Dr is, but we have 7 draft picks and about 10 mil in FA to address that.

The sky isn't falling. This team has built a solid, young team. And every team in the league has holes. But we are far away from the days of having guys starting that couldn't make another NFL roster. Can't have all pros at every position, I'm a cynical guy but I'm very optimistic about this teams chances next year.

When you actually step back and look who we have lost . . . .

1. Durant - Didn't play 2nd half of the season and injured the past 2 seasons. Liked him, but would not trust to give him much guaranteed. We won without him as well 2nd half of season.

2. Parnell - Solid back-up, swing tackle. We will probably have to draft another OT to develop to replace Parnell.

3. Harris - Good coverage guy. Played hard, but I think he lost a step (imo anyway).

Who we may lose . . . .

4. Melton - Well, I think he's replaceable. Again, ended season on IR.

5. Carter - I would like him back. Not sure what the coaching staff thinks though given that he was benched several games last season.

6. Ro - I would like to sign him back as well. But, on an incentive deal. Don't entirely trust the player/injuries.

7. Murray - He is the most important potential loss. Could hurt. BUT, there is the Draft plus maybe AP.

So, all in all, can we replace 1-2 LBs in FA and the Draft? I think so. Same for Melton. As for Murray, we have to hope we select the right RB later this year if he goes.

Seattle is better.
GB maintained their team. We haven't.

Seattle traded their best OL (by far, imo) and a 1st round pick for a top quality TE. Plus, they lost Maxwell. Their OL was only ok before the trade, now it's weaker. Not sure it is slam dunk win for Seattle.

As for GB, I was really hoping either Cobb or Buluga (sp?) would have departed . . . . They worry me the most.

And people are complaining about Murray's injury history?
