Dwayne Harris?

Harris gain weight??? He's a solid 210 lbs at only 5'10. If anything they'll ask him to get a bit leaner perhaps down to 200 which should improve his quickness.

I think he'll make the roster and be our 4th/5th WR. The one edge he has on the other project WRs on the roster is he's a legitimate slot WR. Now it's a matter of him proving he's good enough to produce at this level. This was a highly productive WR at the college level. Let's see how he does given a real offseason.

He looks small. Maybe it's his height. Some guys carry a little bulk. His frame looks thin to me, but maybe I should look again. His quickness, vision and catching is what it will come down to. That and, like we saw with Robinson, finding the open spot. That's all a guy in his position needs to do. I really am pulling for us to get Robinson back though. He's a baller.

Does it really matter who our 4th or 5th wide reciever is.. Romo aint gonna throw it his way.. His best chance to make the team is playing special teams. And he didnt show enough last season..

Romo spreads the love to anyone who is on the field and gets open. That's what's so great about Romo.

He averaged about 29 yards per kick return and seemed much more comfortable with it late in the year.
I wouldn't write him off as a Special Teamer just yet.

The picture that comes to mind for me in regards to Harris is watching him and Ogletree field punts at training camp. Harris looked intense, focused and professional. Ogletree looked like a mini-MartyB.

Dwayne Harris
5103
204
4.53

Wes Welker
5086
195
4.65

Davone Bess
5097
194
4.64

Dexter McCluster
5086
172
4.53

His (Harris) shuttle and cone times were inline with the others also.
The one measureable that did stick out was McCluster had 20 reps while Harris had 10.

It is hard to judge a rookie WR, but it is especially difficult based on the 2011 season due to the lockout.

Devon Bess is exactly the guy Harris reminds me of.

It would be awesome if he developed in to that type of player.

Glad we have Robinson coaching them.

He was also just a raw rookie. I don't know how Harris will end up but to claim failure or success with the pick at this stage is a bit silly.

Sort of like he didn't through to Holley? Oh except for the one time that it won a game, but who cares right?

I thought he looked real good in preseason. I'm excited to see how well he develops.

I think it would be quite interesting to see our WR corps next year as

Austin
Dez
Robinson

A Holmes and his 6' 5" frame. Seems like the staff really has high hopes for him.

Radway - blazing speed. I think he would have made the roster last year if he didn't get injured in the Miami pre-season game.

then roster fight between D Harris and Holley, assuming we keep 6 WRs.

idk jerry has a soft spot for having the great bueler(sp?) on the team:laugh2:

it won't be popular. But I would look at which guy is best able to replace Dez. I think Dez is a high risk hold-out next year if he has what he feels is a good 2012 season now that he changed agents. He is still being paid mid-late 1st round money.

With that being said - I would really give Holmes extra snaps. Austin & Robinson will compliment each other well..but u need big WR in there that won't break the bank.

So give up the season for a potential contract hold out? I would bet they get an extention done before that contract ends. So let's play McGee so Romo can walk when his contract is up, seeing how everyone wants to replace him too.

I am just saying...prepare yourself now because its coming next off-season. He owes big money to few people and recently changed agents. He will not play out his contract under current terms if he has good year. From watching his behavior....I think he would hold out or demand trade. He certainly is not a pillar of stability and I think its wise to have a back up plan when it comes to dealing with Dez and his new agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Holley was not a rookie. Harris was. If your going to be a smart ars at least use the smart portion instead of just the later. But hey why change now.
