Mike Williams.

Na, don't be so closed minded, just 'cause one doesn't work out doesn't mean another won't, besides didn't Williams have to sit out a year because he came out too early, I think that may have hurt him, not to mention he plays for the Lions, that can't help either.

I just said that because I fell into the trap and wanted us to draft Williams instead of Ware two years ago.

Mike Williams gave himself next to no chance to be successful.

He got screwed over by the NCAA when they told him he could go pro and then when Clarretts people screwed it all up Williams got caught in between and the NCAA wouldn't let him back in.

Then he sits at home for a year and gets a chance at the NFL and every report that comes out just talks about how he just gives no effort and is just happy to collect a check.

If Dewayne Jarretts heart is into it he'll be an excellent pro. If not he'll be a bust. I think its that way with any player with that kind of talent.

I also think Steve Smith is going to be a really good receiver for someone as well.

I'd like for us to get Rice also, but I don't feel we even have a shot at him, that kid from Ga. Tech looks like a great one too but he'll be gone to I think.

i've seen him in mock drafts going anywhere from 8-25.

If he falls to us should we consider him?

I know some people say he doesnt look that fast, but he is a long strider, and most long striders are faster then you think.

for ex: Vince Young, Marcus Colston, Randy Moss.

thoughts?

I am personally leaning towards O-line myself, maybe Justin Blaylock from Texas at 22.

However, I could live with Jarrett if he is still on the board.

I agree with the poster who said take BPA, when you draft for need you end up reaching and thats when you end up with a bust. Just draft the BPA and let the rest take care of itself.

Ohio State's Anthony Gonzalez really impressed me the few times I saw him play, I don't know where he is projected, maybe mid rounds, but I think he would be a nice pick, he reminds me alittle of Ricky Proehl.

If you keep going defense in the first round year after year, you'll eventually have a poor offense...at some point, you need to find a couple of blue chippers on the OL or impact WR or a RB like Stephen Jackson :D

And yet we have gone D in the first round for many many years and the offense is still better.

Because he is white?

Not quite.. Gonzo supposedly can run a 4.3 and Proehl couldnt sniff 4.3 with the wind on a 37 yard track.

He will go in round two if he runs good.

No I didn't even think about skin color, I guess I thought about Proehl because for most of his career he has been a 2nd or 3rd option as Gonzalez has at OSU. They are unheralded and they play with a ton of heart. Speed was not what I was thinking of either, I was more thinking of craftiness, route running, playing 100%.

I like Meacham from Tennessee better.

Your crazy....Jarret will run a 4.4 something.. If he doesnt , he might be Mike Williams
Great Blue North Draft Report as Jarrett's time listed at 4.55 for what that is worth.

I think the kid Bowe from LSU will be the most under the radar WR to have a big impact in the NFL, he gets my vote if there with the 23rd pick.
