Come on now, the Eagles must be the healthiest team in the league right now… I think every starter is healthy going into the postseason… Assuming they are just being cautious with Hurts.
No...I meant that they sat all of their starters today, and are beating the Giants 1st teamers with their 2nd and 3rd stringers. Eagles backups have held Giants starters to 3 points so far....so they aren't just "not missing a beat" without Hurts, they're not missing a beat without every other starter as well.

Yeah, Dickerson really sucked in 1988 for the colts when he ran for 1600 yards and 14 TDs.

NFL history is littered with rbs like Barkley who never reached their full statistical potential due to injury. It was great seeing Barkley finally break through, but let's not confuse him with a guy who has a gold jacket and did it in an era when it was harder to pile up yards.
87: 60 carries, 277 yards
88: 388 carries, 1659 yards
89: 314 carries 1311 yards
90: 166 carries 677 yards
91: 167 carries 536 yards
92: 187 carries 729 yards
93: 26 carries, 91 yards

Not very impressive. It's okay. It's your average back stat line. He was heavily used his first 5 years, and excelled. For the most part after his first 5 years he was toast. Often injured. that's what I remember of him. I'm not confusing Barkley, with Dickerson. That was a different era, and Barkley has a fraction of the carries as Dickerson. If he plays a long time he could shatter Dickerson's stats.

Simply ridiculous. They sat EVERY starter and their 2nd string QB and beat a teams starters. That's just so bad. Jesus Giants.

I can't imagine how low the morale is on that team right now.
I can’t imagine it’s lower than the Cowboys’ morale. While they’re losing to the Commanders other teams are resting starters to be best prepared for the payoffs.

At a time when running backs were not getting top dollar the Eagles stepped up for Barkley. No way he gets 2000 yards rushing in16 games with about 28 of the 32 NFL teams. His teammates know and have to appreciate he did not play for the overall good of their team without regard for personal achievement. In addition, he hit all of his incentive bonuses for the regular season.

I'll tell you how exactly it affects you when you're a fan and you put out good money to see the best play that's what you want to see that's what you're paying to see the best play the best at their best.
You don't buy season tickets pay ridiculous amounts for parking and food and every other thing to watch the second string play.
2 questions

1 - How much does "good money" run to get season tickets?

2 - Is their any written guarantee that you're going to see the best players play and not the second string if you have season tickets? It's only implied, nothing is promised to you as a fan is what I would assume.

I consider myself a "fan", but I don't consider myself a "big enough fan" to waste money and time on for entertainment that really has no affect on my life ;)

If the NFL were to cease to exists, I'd probably get a lot more things done on a Sunday instead of watching TV LOL

That said, if Jerry has the most valuable NFL team in the world, it's hard to argue that he's doing anything wrong.

Yeah, so average he's in the HOF. lol

Dickerson like most running backs was less impressive toward the end than the beginning. Staying healthy is a big part of the game. Might as well throw in Billy Sims and George Rodgers if we are comparing lost potential to guys who fulfilled their potential.

You don't pay attention to what you're reading, do you? He's in the Hall of Fame for 1 reason his first 5 years to which he played on all good teams except maybe 1. He didn't play for an organization like the New York Giants that failed to field an adequate offensive line, or team for that matter. Dickerson stepped into a winning franchise with the dominant line. Barkley stepped into a train wreck with a losing record every year he was there, but 1, and that was a 9 and 7 year. 1 game above 500. You said it was great to see Barkley breakout finally, but you framed that all wrong. I think what you really meant to say was it's finally great to see what Barkley can do when he's behind an adequate NFL offensive line. As a fan of him from his Penn State days I agree. I would have rather seen it in Pittsburgh though

Your opinion is garbage. So, no, I am not paying much attention. Go sell it to someone else.
