No no, please go back and watch media after that Eagles-Colts game. Both Ryan Clark and Orlovsky said the eagles win versus Indy was extremely impressive because they were able to win when playing ugly.

The colts game is the perfect example to be honest. Eagles got credit for beating them ugly and tough, we got swept aside because they were a bad team.

Now the recent history of both franchises makes it obvious as to why the narrative would be that way, but still doesn’t change the fact that there’s a double standard.
Thank you sir

i think the "impressive" comments were overcoming the adversity at the end and going on the game winning drive - when they didnt have their best day they still found a way to win when it looked like a L.
Exactly. They never should have been in that position, but ever team has games like that. And bottom line they were on the road against a decent defense and needed a TD with only a couple minutes left and they did it with their young QB showing great poise unlike you know who. It will take a great game from the defense to beat them (which is completely possible).

What amazes me is the love the Eagles get for beating up bad teams all season but when the Cowboys beat up on bad teams. That's just what it is. Beating up on bad teams. Man the double standard is amazing.

I literally watched the talking heads say that the Cowboys 54-19 win against Indy wasn't as impressive as the Eagles winning by 1 against the same team. For the Eagles it was a "Good team win" for the Cowboys it was "they beat up on a horrible football team with a bad coach"

Its laughable.

So stop listening the the Dak hating morons are on here that are bitter because Dak has become the top 10 franchise QB some of said he would.

Honestly, some of these stats surprise me a bit. In other words, their D is sneaky good, if that makes any sense (lol).

There is nothing sneaky about their defense. Anybody that actually follows the nfl knows their defense is good

...look at their strength of schedule. There's some clues in there.
Yeah the Eagles really need the Giants to come on strong. Ending the season with the Saints and a Giants team with no chance will not be good before the bye if they get it. I would rather play the worst team in the NFC playoffs then get a bye. I think the second seed actually has the advantage. Who wants to play Dallas/Tampa winner after two cream puffs and a bye.

I think the Eagles are a very good team. They are stacked on both sides of the ball, but the Eagles have played what I consider 3 really good offenses, or potentially good offenses, The Lions, Cowboys and Packer, and I say the Packers because Rodgers is still Rodgers. When they played the Cowboys they faced Cooper Rush. In those 3 games they gave up 85 points. That's > 28 points per game. Again, the Eagles are a really good team as their 11-1 record shows. But they have really benefitted from the easy schedule that had this year.

  • Points Allowed:
    • Cowboys 3rd
    • Eagles 7th
  • Rushing Yards per Attempt Allowed
    • Cowboys & Eagles tied for 21st.

Rushing yards per attempt may be misleading as Philly added two new DTs to mix and at least for three games have shut down pretty good RBs in guys like Taylor, Jones and Henry.

17.0 vs 17.7 points allowed per game is huge?

6th in time of possession and 5th in rushing yards per game. There’s nothing sneaky about how good their defense is, they are solid there. They are also aided in large part by their offense

But then how is our win less impressive? We didn't have our best day and then when the 4th Q started, we just beat the living piss out of them offensively and defensively. How's that not as, likely more, impressive than what Philly did? Again for the al bluster about finding a way to win, they really only won because the Colts missed an easy FG earlier and couldn't punch the ball in first and goal from the 4.

We didn’t “beat the living piss out of them” they simply imploded. Matty throwing an interception party doesn’t really have to do with our level of play. That game was abhorrent from the beginning and had the Colts not began to implode, that game would have been much closer.

The Eagles sucked against them too though.
