What amazes me is the love the Eagles get for beating up bad teams all season but when the Cowboys beat up on bad teams. That's just what it is. Beating up on bad teams. Man the double standard is amazing.

I literally watched the talking heads say that the Cowboys 54-19 win against Indy wasn't as impressive as the Eagles winning by 1 against the same team. For the Eagles it was a "Good team win" for the Cowboys it was "they beat up on a horrible football team with a bad coach"

Its laughable.

The Eagles played a month of crap football, squeaking out wins against bad teams. Then they beat up Tennessee, and its as if they've been on fire the whole time. I hope to see the crap football team this week against NY, otherwise I'm going to have to start giving them some credit.

Can't we say the same about our strength of schedule too?

NFL teams with the easiest schedules in 2022:

1. New York Giants
2. Philadelphia Eagles
3. Indianapolis Colts
4. Chicago Bears
5. Detroit Lions

...we are 10th. lol... I didnt realize that, till now..

This AND they do not beat themselves, near the top of the league in lowest penalties and turnovers. When you have their talent and play mistake-free ball, the only way to win is to outfight them for 60 mins, NO MISTAKES.

Yup. Gotta catch them on an off day. Best way to do it is with turnovers. Hard to overcome those with small margins of error.

It doesn’t matter though. First of all, you can only play those on your schedule. Secondly, they have beat good teams. Us, the Titans, the Vikings. You guys need to stop this false belief of the Eagles being a meddling team just because you hate them. I want them to suck too but they’re just good.

We didn’t “beat the living piss out of them” they simply imploded. Matty throwing an interception party doesn’t really have to do with our level of play. That game was abhorrent from the beginning and had the Colts not began to implode, that game would have been much closer.

The Eagles sucked against them too though.

I guess the Eagles win against the Jaguars doesn't count for anything since Lawrence turned the ball over about 4 times. Or do you discredit any Eagles win in which their defense got multiple turnovers from the opposing offense?

It depends on which list you are looking at, and when it was made.

Strength of Schedule (SoS) rankings made in the preseason are based on the record for each team the previous year. But once the season starts, it turns out some teams - like the Rams, Bucs, and Packers - that were ranked as tough opponents turned out to be not so tough. At the same time, other teams - like the Dolphins and Giants - turned out to be better than they were the previous year.

Here is an adjusted Strength of Schedule based on the games already played and the record of each opponent this year:

Based on this ranking, the Eagles have played the 9th easiest schedule and the Cowboys have played the 14th easiest schedule.

By season's end, they'll have played 12 of the same teams we have plus us twice. So only 3 non-common opponents.

Well, 5. Philadelphia doesn’t have 2 games against an 11-1 team… which makes Dallas’s SoS that much harder.

Rushing yards per attempt may be misleading as Philly added two new DTs to mix and at least for three games have shut down pretty good RBs in guys like Taylor, Jones and Henry.

PPG is also separated by 20 total points between the two teams over the 12 games. Philly had a pick 6 against us in the Jags game and a fumble recovery TD in the Commanders game; that’s over 2/3 the difference where the defense wasn’t even on the field. Plus any moment for Dallas or Philly where they turn the ball over in their territory and the opposing offense only has to go 20 yards for a TD, or even nothing for a FG… Is that the defense playing poorly? Drives that’s sputter out in the wrong redzone and the punt only goes to midfield. YPG or DVOA are much better qualifying stats for how a D is performing.

If Barkley doesn't play, get ready to see a repeat of last week.

Those rankings in May were absolute horse crap anyway. There is no way possible that the Cowboys could have an easier schedule than the teams that finished behind them in the division. That's just some talking head fishing for clicks..

Don't hold your breath.......I think they had their rough spots a few games ago that they barely won. As we have heard so often, teams wanna play their best ball after T'giving. I hate to say this but it would probably take a major injury to a key starter to slow them down. As seen last week, they are hitting on all cylinders, BUT I still believe we match up well and can beat them ..........it would take our best game of the season though.

I may be wrong but I thought the Eagles are currently ranked 15th in penalties, but your point is well taken that they don't beat themselves

They've been exceptionally quiet......no threads or even negative Daks comments lately, odd....lol.

There hasnt been any negative threads about ANY of the players. They are almost all playing at a solid level. Most of the negative past threads have been about the defense not stopping the run and they have improved to some degree

Are we now complaining that there aren't enough negative threads, lol
