Twitter: Eagles defense rankings

I don't think anyone has called the Colts game impressive for the Eagles. I have seen some try to use our Colts game to knock us but largely ignoring what the Eagles did two weeks earlier. I caught Dan Orlovsky, who is a total Eagles wank by the way having pimped Wentz back in the day like he was the next Brady, ripping the COwboys a few days ago. He was incredulous that Rex Ryan and others were saying the Cowboys were threats to the Eagles. He pointed out the fact we were only up 2 on the Colts as the reason but completely ignored the fact that two weeks earlier, the Eagles were lucky the Colts FG missed a chip shot or the Eagles would have lost.

Orlovsky is a complete hack shill

Oh, those poor Cowboys, always getting picked on, huh? Let's wrap them all up in a blankies.

it's not about the Cowboys, it's about the Eagles. There's not really much anyone (with any credibility) can take away from a 35 point drubbing. But when another team narrowly escapes, they should be scrutinized

We didn’t “beat the living piss out of them” they simply imploded. Matty throwing an interception party doesn’t really have to do with our level of play. That game was abhorrent from the beginning and had the Colts not began to implode, that game would have been much closer.

The Eagles sucked against them too though.

are you under the impression that teams don't play eachother? not like he kicked it into his own goal multiple times lol

What amazes me is the love the Eagles get for beating up bad teams all season but when the Cowboys beat up on bad teams. That's just what it is. Beating up on bad teams. Man the double standard is amazing.

I literally watched the talking heads say that the Cowboys 54-19 win against Indy wasn't as impressive as the Eagles winning by 1 against the same team. For the Eagles it was a "Good team win" for the Cowboys it was "they beat up on a horrible football team with a bad coach"

Its laughable.
Somebody, I think it was Hurd, said the only reason the NFC East appears to be so good is because they play the AFC South this year. His favorite division is the NFC West of course, and they have two really bad teams. That makes it easy for the leaders of that division too. What a clown that guy is, this is the NFL and you never know how another team might test your team.
I still say the Cowboys are better than the Beagles. Take Hurts out of his run game, keep him in the pocket and sack his $$$ all day long and the Boyz will win.

This AND they do not beat themselves, near the top of the league in lowest penalties and turnovers. When you have their talent and play mistake-free ball, the only way to win is to outfight them for 60 mins, NO MISTAKES.

They are not near the top of the league in fewest penalties. They were like 15th before last weekend , andbrefs threw14 flags against them vs titans (cowboys were 30th).

Eagles are only average in penalties.

It wasn’t impressive because it felt fluky… It was a two point game going into the fourth quarter.

I dont think it was "less" impressive but it was just a different type of impressive. I have seen plenty of impressive blondes and brunettes, both impressive me but they are very different :).

I jest...but you have to remember the eagles and NY teams are always going to be the media darlings and the cowboys are always going to be the media draw....its just what it is my friend
Blowing out a playoff team is much more impressive than blowing out a crappy team, especially a crappy team that was only down two points going into the fourth quarter

Don't hold your breath.......I think they had their rough spots a few games ago that they barely won. As we have heard so often, teams wanna play their best ball after T'giving. I hate to say this but it would probably take a major injury to a key starter to slow them down. As seen last week, they are hitting on all cylinders, BUT I still believe we match up well and can beat them ..........it would take our best game of the season though.

You might be right, but I'm on the fence still. The Titans game was impressive. I'm hoping that was just one of those games. I'm with you in that I think we match up well. We nearly beat them with Rush at the helm and a middling offense. Like him or not, no one here can argue Dak hasn't owned this division. I think we can best them soundly.

Had Dak been able to play the first time we played them, Cowboys would have won. Plus, the Eagles have had a much easier schedule. I guarantee we will beat them Christmas eve.

Tomorrow’s game vs NYG will be interesting. The Giants are playing for their playoff lives— and Wink is the kind of DC that can expose some flaws through pressure and blueprint an opposing offense.

Maybe Philly comes out and dominates. Or maybe they get into a dogfight and we start to see some cracks.

Who thought the Commanders were capable of beating them a few weeks ago?

Honestly, some of these stats surprise me a bit. In other words, their D is sneaky good, if that makes any sense (lol).

They have a comparable defense to Dallas and 49ers. If we have an edge I think it’s with the offense.

Our edge has to be our pass rush, but yeah offensively IF you can stop Hurts from running the Eagles offensive take a big hit. At that point we have a clear edge.
