Eagles have been to 8 CGs and 4 SBs

I was thinking this is a tank year but I honestly don't think Jerry is smart enough to think like that. This coaching search was the laziest search I've ever seen a franchise do. And the easiest most convenient hire that is the type of hire when a coach gets fired mid season. This looks to me like Jerry having health issues.

When I look at the Eagles I see a team that has so much talent EVERYWHERE on that team. Yet it seems like they don't seem to be in cap hell. Thier offensive line and DLine are massive and they drafted all those guys.

Somebody mentioned how they got rid of Wentz even after he was MVP runner up (remember when Dak got that and his fanboys held a parade and continue to celebrate it). This organization would still be running him out there every year.

Unfortunately for the fans, Dak got to play the weakest pass defense schedule in the league in what was basically a contract year. Many of us realized it was a mirage, but no way Jerry was going to dig deep enough to understand what had just happened, so they give him a record breaking deal.
Looking at their contracts and mobility concerns ....which QB, is more likely to see out their contracts? I realize that's slightly weighted as Roseman has the added opportunity of extending Hurts to get out of his 2029 CAP hit.....which, lets be fair Dak's not getting another, so everything gets paid up in 2029.

If the Eagles win, a week Sunday, I bet Roseman will be looking at Hurts' successor. As @Hadenough says, we/some have an obsession with Dak, rather than the team.

I think some of our fanbase need to look at the Eagles and note the emphasis they have on BOTH LINES, they continually spend: CAP, Draft resource and Extensions to bolster the Lines to help facilitate all aspects, rather than reliance upon 'star' names. Then again their Draft and Development, in that area, far surpasses ours.....then again, as with everything else....WE LIKE OUR OWN.....WILL (MAZI) MCLAY!!

It'll be interesting how much of this '100m CAP restructure' actually comes to fruition, and whether we use it on decent Tier 1 or 2 level FA's, or we spend the basic just to complete the roster. As with any experiment, you need a constant to evaluate the measure of change..... 2025, may be a Dak/Schott prove it, lets see if you're able to synchronize (even if it's a losing season....it's improved systems we're looking for).
Id certainly be using some caution and an exit strategy....then again why give Schott four years (Jerry, I dont get what youre doing/hoping).

Well at least their is a glimmer of hope that Stephen will be better.

I think worse. Stephen has shown his hands. He is the play it safe owner/GM.
No risks, no rewards and still having his hands in the cookie jar.

While we all celebrate the story of Martin over Johnny Football, Stevie boy going the safe route is basically how the team has been run the past decade.

1. Outside free agents get market prices. Too risky. Don't know how the player would play in our systems. Pass
2. Rumors of wants Brian Schott was from Stephen. comfort for Dak.
3. Passive on player re-signings.

I think Jerry clearly has some say, but I do believe he has been letting SJ get more say in team building. GM in training so to speak.
Stephen thinks the way the Eagles are building will cause some cap challenges... That's our future. Eagles are going to superbowls, and "cap hell" and Dallas is going to the wild card and then the yacht.

Once again, I'll hold out for a very small chance of this team being aggressive. IF they sit on their hands again this offseason I have 0 reason to believe anything will get better under SJ.
It's going to be the Bengals under Mike Brown era for us.

Scotty got 4 years but total contract is like 12 mil. He is cheap and expendable at any point. But doubt Jerry will ever fire him. Don't count on Jerry spending any money in free agency either. I think this whole team has gone into a shell and isn't going to be any good for the next five six years and I ain't Jerry has health issues and until this team gets turned over to a true GM there will be no big hirings.

Good, I trust Jerry's got a couple of opt-outs as well ....as he's Brian the chance of a lifetime.
If we don't spend heavily in FA, or we don't heavily restructure Dak's contract, there's a chance that Stephen could whisper in Daddy's ear that a post June cut in 2026 with save Jezzah $140m in his bank account.

None of this matters if the Cowboys get to a Super Bowl next year or the year after. Just like the 1990s Cowboys are irrelevant today as far as where this team is.

What the Eagles do, or the Commanders in 1 year, matter not next year. The Cowboys have a chance to improve just like every other team in the league. The problem is, the Cowboys don't and other teams do.

Remember when Philly traded up to draft Wentz and people were saying oh Dallas fans were all saying you can't do that. If you miss on that pick it will cripple the franchise for years. Heck they let Wentz go and just drafted Hurts. They have done a lot of draft trades to move around. Just like the Rams did. Those franchises don't look crippled. The only thing that looks crippled is Dallas holding onto Dak like he is something special when he isn't even as good as Wentz or Goff.
Not in Dallas. We double-down on our players, even if they're not the right player to pull your franchise over the hump. If we didn't, that means Jerry would have to admit his drafted QB wasn't good enough AND have to put in work to find a new player. That would take away from his yacht and helicopter time.

I hate Philly with a passion and it all started when I was really young and they cheered Michael Irving's career ending injury. I wish horrible things on not only the city but the people of Philadelphia. I wish nothing but suffering for them.
You were the guy rooting for 20 year old kids to get debilitating injuries yesterday.

Kids.

Your no better than those people 30 years ago cheering with Irvin. Actually, your worse, far worse...because that cheering lasted only 5 or 10 seconds, and mist importantly they had no clue that he was actually hurt. They just saw that he got obliterated on a hit.

You are vile.

:lmao: mikey you are funny, young man.

..this stuff gets old. Same as twenty something drought.
Many teams can say similar.
..stay the course, regardsless.
