I still believe that Witten's decision caught them with their pants down. A few weeks before the draft, he was still talking about playing and I am sure as much as the Joneses love him, they bought it.

You can thank Witten partially for the state of the position right now.

They should've been planning to eventually replace him, not acting like he was going to play at a Pro Bowl level until he was 40.

They did take a TE a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was Gavin Escobar sixteen picks before Travis Kelce.

I don’t think Wentz is the best. I don’t think he’s in Brady’s class.

But he’s better than Dak and likely by a decent margin.

Seems like they went back to trying to make Dak a pocket QB, instead of calling more plays like the ones that worked against the Jags. Bad coaching decisions is one of the reasons why we haven't seen a consistent winning streak from the Boys this season.

The jags game was largely more of the same from the coaching staff. The difference was the offensive line dominated.

I think if Wentz fulfills his potential he can be one of the best QB's in the league. I'm not sure if he will do that or not.

But I do think its corny how the same criticisms that are made of Dak are ignored when it comes to other young qb's in this league. So while you may feel he's a "decent margin" better then Dak.....if I'm basing it on what I've seen today?He's making the same exact mistakes Dak does.The only difference he's going throw into tighter windows and if the Jags were a real team they would be losing this game. They dropped a pick and the other pick only resulted in 3 points.

I'm not going to judge Wentz this early in his career just like I won't Dak....but that doesn't seem to be something most like to do around here.
