We are 5-2 the last 4 years against them, so it's not like we are going against someone we should have a mental block against.

I'd like to say, "the Cowboys will still win", but I'm sure Garrett is coming up with a stellar way to lose this game as we speak.

He needs to coach like he did when he was the interim coach back in 2010 that got him 5 wins playing with 2 backup QBs. The Cowboys had nothing to lose when Garrett took over at mid season in 2010 so he threw caution to the wind. He had his team play loose and take some chances and it turned out to be the best football the Cowboys played under him until last season. The Cowboys went from 1-7 with some of those games under Romo to 5-3 with a couple of backup QBs. Garrett had the team play aggressive especially on defense which started forcing some turnovers. We forced 4 turnovers against a Peyton Manning led Colts team leading to an OT win. We all wondered where had this been all season? Garrett's first full season as the HC in 2011 he immediately started playing not to lose and it helped cost the Cowboys a couple of games they had won vs NE and AZ.

The Cowboys had NE on the ropes leading them late in the 4th quarter and all they needed was a couple of first downs to seal the win. Garrett decided to keep the ball on the ground fearing a turnover despite NE having the 32nd ranked pass defense. He was stupid enough to put his faith in a defense that had just gotten shredded in the 4th quarter by Matt Stafford the previous week and thought they could stop TOM BRADY with the game on the line. o_O Brady proceeded to shred the defense en route to a game winning TD. Even Jerry was pissed after that game saying we should have played more aggressively to try keep Brady and company off the field.

Later that season the Cowboys had a bad Cardinals team beat but Garrett whose mission apparently was to become the punchline for jokes ended up icing his own kicker who just spilt the uprights with what would have been the game winning FG. He said he wanted to make sure everyone was settled and he ended up unsettling his kicker which led to a miss FG and a loss in OT. Last week with just under 9 minutes to play he decided to have his offense sit on a 2 point lead that every Cowboy FAN/fan in America knew wouldn't hold up. Cassel never attempted one pass which led to a punt and a loss. Garrett needs to grow a pair quick because the first nail in the Cowboys coffin was added last week.

If the defense shows up and holds Philly to 20 or fewer points, I like our chances.

If they score more than 20 for any reason, we probably lose.

The defense will need to hold them to 10 at the most again for dallas to have a chance. Not kicking 7 field goals.

Wasn't there an issue that year against the Ravens too? I remember something about a time-management blunder, where we waisted 23 seconds and could have won, or something to that effect.

I think our defense can easily hold them under 20. I worry about the Dallas offense or special teams giving the Eagles points.

This.

Given the lack of production from the offense overall, it will take a herculean effort from the defense and special teams to pull out a win versus the Eagles. I'm hopeful; not encouraged.

Excuses are tools for the inept. And sorry, I think Romo is a great QB, but he's not a Top 3.

Who's better besides Brady and Rodgers?

With the way Rodgers has played this year I wouldn't even put him above Romo.

Nobody.

Romo was the MVP last year and got robbed. I don't know what more evidence you need to see he's the most valuable player in the league. Even Brady and Rodgers' teams have won games without them and we can't win one game.

Romo is the best quarterback in the league.

Love to see Rodgers and Brady win a SB with an incompetent owner, GM, and coaching staff.

Seems Kelly has the lead on ways to choke these days.

That was in 2012 another coaching gaff that helped cost us another game we had won against a team that went on to win the SB that year.

Knowing Garrett he'll wait until the Cowboys are officially eliminated from the playoffs before he starts opening things up and taking some chances.

I am thinking we need to hold them to lower than 14, personally.

Bradford doesn't like to get hit. Dallas hit him a lot without Hardy and Gregory.

Get to Bradford, and this will be a victory.

We'd probably still have to score a touchdown or two, which is a huge no-no in the Garrett offense.
