31 teams lose. At least they gotta chance to compete for it. We have a great shot at doing that this year. We will see
They had a great season. Not downplaying that one bit. But they should have won that game. Can’t be fumbling away those opportunities. It’s one thing if they were outmatched, they gave the game away.

Cmon you really think the Eagles are better than last years team on D? They have taken a hit losing key players. Dak hung 40 on them last year on their D that was very strong. This year the middle of the Eagles secondary is Swiss cheese. Don’t mention the injuries because Mac Jones worked them pretty good when they had starters in.
Defense also hung 4 turnovers on Minshew. That helped.

I believe it was Mario Edwards, but we also drafted Kareem Lattimore. That was back in the day when we paid a lot for free agents, but had no clue how to draft. Now, we know how to draft and go cheap in free agency. ... At least this year, we seem to have traded for a couple of quality players who might help us beat teams like the Eagles and 49ers. Whether the Eagles are as good as they were last year or not, we'll see as the year progresses. I think we're better than we were because we're not drafting as many Goodriches, Lattimores and Edwardses, so we'll see how that goes.
We drafted Kareem Larrimore.

Kareem Lattimore is a Night Auditor for GitHub.

I saw the same.

The 49ers are the class of the conference at the moment, not a long way to go.
I think people are really looking at this too strongly too soon. It is hard to say they will be a worse team yet. The eagles will be a totally different team 12 games into the season. The same for all these teams. Eagles didn’t always look like a Super Bowl team last year and did win ugly games.

The Eagles won because of the turnovers. Especially, the touchback which caused a 10 point swing.

The Eagles won because they kept doing something the Vikings couldn't stop. The running game.

Don't you think other coaches are dumb for shying away from something the opposing defense CAN'T stop?

Yeah, but Lattimore was about as good of a football player as Larrimore.
Lattimore had the most talent out of the three, but was another knucklehead. Edwards was the only one that could play, he just wasn't good enough. If you go back and look at that draft, there just were no quality corners in it.

And we drafted three. For the longest time, the Joneses treated the draft like an afterthought, hiring a buddy to run it in Lacewell and just pretty much picking based on their whims instead of scouting. I believe Parcells got them to switch their focus to putting together the best draft strategy they could.

Of course, it bugs me that now that they got that figured out, they treat free agency callously, not making the best use of it to supplement the draft. As I said, at least this year they made a couple of trades to fix weak areas instead of dumpster diving for a James Washington. You hit on some of those cheap players, but relying on that is a poor strategy.

I know it's early, but they're the most complete and put together team right now.

Still a lot to happen. To us, too.

Jimmy was still there when they hired Lacewell. He wanted someone that had a fresh view of the college players like he did when coming in. But yeah, Lacewell just couldn't pick very well. Jerry should have moved on quickly but they were friends.

Larrimore was a decent pick. I didn't care for the other two.

Kareem Lattimore was a monster corner………..in the indoor football league. I think GitHub probably pays more, good for him. His career is trending upwards.

100 percent agree. Eagles aren't as good as they were last year. And we are better.
You are correct. I also think that running the qb so much will eventually come back to bite them.
