If he gets in the HoF without winning a Superbowl he won't deserve it. He isn't putting up Dan Marino, Payton Manning type numbers and with his slightly above average numbers he needs at least one SB win (or multiple SB appearances) to get into the HoF; at least he should based on what other QB's have needed.

Where are you phoenix...........I'm surprised you're not all over this post.... :D

I think without TO filthy will be ready to tumble, sure they have a GREAT DC and puffy is a good OC/H-coach as well, but the team from filthy has gotten away with a very weak NFCE for many moons now...
Everyone has improved...

Everyone now knows you have to pressure McChunky...
At least the games will be much closer this year...

And 265 ish is NOT a good weight for a what 6-2 6-3 QB...

I agree Culpepper is solid, very well built and of course taller...
McChunky is too fat!

I'm sure you believed the same thing last season. You're really not better until you're better, ya know? Counting on three teams to stop sucking in one season is a real stretch.

Like every other QB in the NFL, yeah. Good thinking. Tricky part is actually being able to generate consistent pressure.

Maybe? Maybe not?

McNabb should move to nose tackle all he has to do is just stand there. Look for Jim Johnson to improve his effectiveness this season! :lmao2:

I had to drive home from work -- it takes me about 45 minutes. I'll handle this.

Woooaaaah! Slow down. Let the McNabb have a career first -- he's still young and has more than enough time. He's only 29 years old! Let's put any HOF talk on hold for now.

He should try getting open.
He was open. During the 2003 season when McNabb struggled, Jaws broke down the film on NFL Matchup and Mitchell was open time after time.

McNabb is too tentative (the upside there, by the way, is that he throws very few interceptions). He wants a receiver to be wide open before he lets loose with the ball. Somehow he corrected that part of his game in 2004, and I think T.O. had a big part in that - they developed a chemistry and it worked.

I'm not the one who originally brought up the HoF and that was exactly my point. At this point he doesn't have a HoF career.

Will He?

That remains to be seen.

I agree. I also think his numbers need to be higher. He should get some credit for taking his team to the NFC championship but that works both ways. Right now he's carrying a heavy burden of being a "loser" even though I suspect many don't see him that way.

I do see him at a crossroads. If he plays close to last years pace for 3-4 more years then he should receive consideration and maybe a spot. Winning a SB on top of that would probably push him over the top.

I don't see him as being close right now. Just looking over the horizon a little.

My compliments for picking up on that LT.;)
Are you kidding?

That little pomposity stood out like the proverbial sore-headed wideout.

You know, I could possibly see the more star-struck Pats fan referring to Tom as "the Brady". And I can even see Nors referring to his favorite cb as "the Law".

But Donovan hasn't quite reached the level where he can refer to himself in the third person, or his fans put a definite article before his name without making him look ridiculous.

So you'll be doing what still appears to be a reasonably humble man a disservice by referring to him that way.

"The McChunky", however, does have a certain ring to it.

Donovan doesn't refer to himself as "the McNabb." Actuall, the Observation I was talking about was a typographical error. I was try to say the man ...changed my mine and put the McNabb (the should have been deleted).

But if all you wait around for is to manipulate, you can do that all By yourself. I'm through with The!

999 out of 1000 posters and I would have thought "typo".

Congratulations
