I think it's just a product of playing some of the best offenses in the league. If only the top teams faced each other all the time, they'd all look pretty ordinary because there's not a lot separating them. I mean, we struggled on defense against the 49ers and did not look very good for most of the game against Seattle, either. The only top team our defense looked good against was Philly, and we benefitted from making takeaways.
It is easy for a fan to plug into a generalized view of a star team or a star player. This convenience can throw a fan into a routine of looking for a hero or team they can easily claim as one of the very top in the league of even NFL. Those teams don't stay at that level for long periods of time unless their Head Coach are extremely experienced with levels of success and have a leadership vantage from which to observe and adjust. This is where Mike McCarthy has a start point for success, on a level comparable to an Andy Reid or a Bill Bellichick. They all three have viewed and developed a competitive level, both in talent on team, and sustained talent for retention and increased development on the field during progressive seasons.
If is easy for a fan to judge how his team is doing, by matching them against top and already established teams with success. Some may be longer established, and some may be more recently. Right now, comparisons to San Francisco, Philadelphia, Baltimore. Lions, and a Buffalo...are easy to project from. There a plethora of statistics that one can attach with specific teams and their wins. This doesn't allow a team's fan to know and see progress in it's talents and leadership abilities, both. The team leadership is as important as the actual talents. A lot in game play is lost if the player leadership points don't sustain team standards and rest too much in personality and not on actual functional levels during a game.
There is focus on identifying features in player talents. Then how those abilities are used in developng schemes. That is one aspect of focus for team success.
All teams have competitive levels of players, but there are still individual traits that differentiate how groups interact. Those traits are affected by personal habits as well as how well they retain focus in play and in some progressive skills. The sport is unbelievable harsh on what a person has to sacrifice and work through for personal acclaim and productions.
Statistics, although can indicate just the levels of achievement that is occurring as units as well as against specific opponents. It really isn't as abstract in recognizing team differences as well as success.
A win is significant...not just as a hero worship thing. That is the element that feeds both the team as well as the fan. It is also a general level of differentiation for fans.A gross but fun line for enjoyment of a team in sport. Oh, it is a real element for both fan and a team.
Teams that appear high production as to their base levels are needed by teams for a competitive edge to develop from their play and talents as used. That is why tendencies are relevant. They are not written in stone as to product. This is why coaching is so important. It connects changes between teams as well as a source for how to attack other teams and their progressions at a point in the season.
This is why seasons are important as well as a grind.
What is important for a fan to notice with the Cowboys is the growth of their leadership elements and the achievement of top shelf results. Those are for real and true elements to take note about. This team has good leadership and team productive elements both. The Head Coach, Mike McCarthy, now is a very director for Offensive direction and Talent. He has made a very good quarterback with the inherited talent, Dak Prescott. With him are now CD Lamb, who now is a top shelf competitor and paired with Cooks. High skill players who are able to adjust during a game and with effect. That complies with the new transition in the NFL to a passing dominated sport for football. Mix that in with Ferguson and that is strong in Dallas...with statistics already justify just that view. Right now, the offensive line is sustainable with three very strong elements of the five starters. That being Tyron and Tyler Smiths, and Zach Martin. That is a currently strong aspect as well. The team may need an immediate remake for next season, but this season this group is a valid strength and makes variety successful with an aleady producing very strongly against all the existing talents in the NFL.
The defense is for real finally, and contributes strongly at a top shelf team complimentary level as well. This defense is led by a dominant coach by proven league standards, in Dan Quinn. He handles the intricacies of the box area and is assisted by a very strong secondary coach in Al Harris. Players who have become top shelf in skill levels and also leadership start with Micah Parsons. He already has a ton going for him, and is adding to his leadership through learning to be a step ahead of a league wide attempt at holds. He is top shelf and supported by team producers that includes: DeMarcus Lawrence (10 yrs), Osa Odighizuwa, Trevon Diggs, Stephon Gilmore (12), and DaRon Bland. The safety and linebackers fill in to make style of the defense adaptable and effective. The defensive line and secondary at the strength here. They produce both sacks and turn-overs. A real strength to overcome by all offenses.
Then there is a kicker that now makes all ball movements to the opponent's 40 a scoring drive. That is consistently a great weapon now.
The next four games will be first, productive for the team to grow through. It will push them to remain focused as well as top shelf accountable in the team growth now. The Cowboys are stabilizing both momentum, unit rhythms, and in game momentum adjustments which is the final indicator for very top success.
No doubt about it for the Cowboys' fan. Dallas is a strong and talented team that is able to confront any and all teams that come onto their schedule during regular season and in the playoffs. This should be a time of real focus for both this team and the fan.
No need to be singing the song:
¿Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
(My dear Mother, where is Santa Clause?)
Name calling insults are not for now...
