Eagles News: Philadelphia rumored to be making calls to trade up from No. 10

Would much rather them trade up for Carter then end up with Bijan or a guy like Witherspoon and Gibbs

Leopards don't change their spots ( or stripes as our legend Emmitt Smith would say ) (LOL), but I have to be honest, if he falls to 26, I'm running the card up.
Haha no doubt. There's a difference between giving up premium picks in a top 10 trade-up, and taking a calculated risk at 26. I'd have the card up front before the timer started.

Not going to knock it when we haven't even been to the championship game in nearly 30 years. Their defensive tackles have helped them win one Super Bowl and get to another.
Defensive tackles were a big reason they lost in the SB too. If you want to say the Eagles are the team to beat that’s fine. They are NFC champs. But they are flawed and just because the Cowboys are flawed doesn’t mean I don’t see Eagles flaws.

Meh…it’s a wash from what they lost.

I hope it’s true, I hope it’s Carter, and I hope they waste their draft capital. The depressing part of them getting hammered in FA was that they had picks to replenish. My money is on Carter being a nightmare long term. He couldn’t straighten up long enough to make it to the draft. Wait till he gets paid.

This draft is that top heavy st least they got a top 10 pick in a sucky year lol.

Notice we didn’t hear about any of this at Georgia until this last winter. Do you remember the affect Carter had on Moss?

If they really trade for Jalen Carter than I think it writes the pick for Dallas. Interior Oline best available.

May not take 30, I think something like 10th overall and saints extra 2024 2nd rounder could get us up to pick 6ish
LOL No
No one is going down 4 spots in the top 10 for a rd 2 pick in next years draft plus you’d have to go above Seattle to get him
It’ll talk both 1s this year

I don’t agree. By the trade chart, 10 is worth 1300 and 2024 2nd is worth 296. 6th is worth 1600. You only see heavier returns on trades like this when QBs are involved. Could even be our 2 this year, but it won’t cost us a 1 unless we’re going to Arizona at 3

I think there’s a strong possibility Pete Carroll is absolutely smitten with Anthony Richardson. That would be a quintessential Seattle pick right there.

Yeah, you can do stuff like that when you have multiple 1st round picks in consecutive years.

The Eagles value DT. So do the Giants and Commanders. The Cowboys are a rarity in that they are unwilling to spend draft capital or free agent bucks on DTs.

We cannot stop the Eagles from doing what they are going to do. The Cowboys have to stick to their board and find the players they like. I would not take Carter in the top 10. I have too many yellow flags on him. But like I said, if you have 2 first round picks, you can take a bigger risk with one of them.

Cox is getting old and this is probably his last year. Hargrave left via free agency. And the Eagles just gave Hurts a boatload of money. The Eagles need to get younger. For them adding Carter is a smart move for the future. It would not shock me to see them take DT early then OL later.

But they could also go DE early. Brandon Graham is not getting any younger either.

You know, Houston could surprise people and take Will Anderson. Then trade back up for a QB. I didn't think of this, someone else did. But I can see the possibility. They have the draft capital.

Was Jordan Davis bad last year? Carter to the Eagles terrifies me regardless but would be kinda weird to use premium picks to trade up to grab a DT after just having used a top 15 pick on a DT last year
He had more missed games than tackles behind the LOS. He's a 2 down player at best.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. I’ve been expecting it.

With all I’ve been hearing about Carter… there is some risk involved, particularly if they use picks to move up.

Whatever.
this. Let em trade. I think it might backfire.

If they trade up it's probably for Edge. There's a big gap between Anderson, Wilson and everyone else at that position.

Otherwise I'd guess OL to jump Chicago.
