Well, sometimes there’s something that can be said for at least creating the illusion that you’re at least trying.

The teams that are routinely playing deep into the playoffs are aggressive with trades and free agency.

We draft, then try to sign near-cooked vets for cheap and end up with a light roster in the end. Not as if this has happened only once.

Not winning a championship isn’t the complaint, it’s the refusal to change a philosophy/structure that has repeatedly been proven to not work.
