People seem to like this trade. Will it work out, I have no idea. Although it does appear the Eagles Front office is good at maximizing draft picks (have the Saints first this next draft) and targeting veterans when they feel they are short at a spot. They have appeared to have done a real nice job rebuilding their team since their super bowl. They may be the QB away though and those are difficult to get. But, I would probably say they are the favorite in the NFC East. But that doesn't really mean anything now.

I suspect if we went through your posting history over the years, we'd find posts of you ranting and raving about how awesome the Cowboys are, how they will win the division, this divisional team or that divisional team stinks, etc. The history of the past 25 years shows that you are often way wrong when you start pontificating every offseason how awesome we will be.

I'll be clear here. I don't know if the Eagles will win the division. I don't know if we will. I suspect it's either us or them as the other two have real issues. What I do know is this belief that no other team has any chance to win the division is kind of dumb.

if the eagles have built a really good defense, they can win with hurts. Main thing is that hurts doesnt turn the ball over, and can
score enough to win low scoring games.
If eagle def gets turnovers in red zone or inside 40, they hurts should be able to score more points.

Eagles are always making moves, so interesting to see how they fare this season.

One thing that someone noted above is there are questions about their DC. He really played passive defense last year. Now was that because of limitations in the roster, especially at CB and DE? Maybe. They played real soft in the secondary last year, allowing QBs to just put up gobs and gobs of numbers. I can't remember the stat but they had a ridiculous number of QBs complete more than 70% of passes against them. At one point, they were on pace to give up nearly a 73% completion percentage for the season.

They talked at the end of last year that a big part of the reason was the eagles didn’t have the personnel to fully run his defense, a 4-3/3-4 hybrid.

This is commiserated with our biggest FA being a pass rushing LB to add to 3 starting LB additions, and our top draft pick a nose tackle. Could be the same, or could look a lot different
