I saw a mock that had them taking Denzel Boston near the bottom of round one could still happen . I don’t think Wicks erases that although now an OL makes sense .

the inability to grasp favorable player acquisition is tainted by such a long history of GM ineptitude that automatically we do this whole skewed "how we hope to see things" bias with the Cowboys.
It's become muscle memory at this point.

Well being that Wicks couldn’t start over Pickens, Lamb, Turpin, Fluornoy either? He too would be 50/50 active here. He’d be right next to Mingo on the bench.

Must be why Tolbert got about 1/10th the money Wicks got, and Dallas didn’t feel he was worth beating that. But maybe Flournoy will continue to develop and be as good as Wicks one day

It boils down to the Cowboys getting their 3rd or 4th receiving option in Fluornoy depending on how you want to view Fluornoy's target opportunities as compared to Ferg.

Probably the 4th option actually. As a 6th round pick. Pretty good value.

The Eagles are pursuing getting their WR3 option for a 5th and a 6th.

So in this proper macro perspective its probably about a wash.

Its depth with upside in any event. They may want to be in position to flip Brown regardless of not having any deal in place now. A lot of things happen on draft day.

I still cant believe they are gonna eat all that cap.

Not that I think that they are trading Brown, the Eagles in the past have shown they are willing to eat huge sums of money for higher draft picks. That's why they are asking I'm guessing a 1 and a 3? He'll be a 29-year-old receiver he's not worth that much compensation, but they won't back off that number because the acquiring team will be paying for the Eagles to eat all that money.

We got Hollywood Brown too and will undoubtedly draft a WR before round 6 as we haven’t had a promising one on a rookie contract in many years. This is pretty close to the nail in the coffin

It’s also a group here that praises every trade Howie has made and for the last two off seasons it’s been some suspect moves. It doesn’t erase his accomplishments but he has questionable moves as well. This is the 3rd receiver they’ve traded for in 2 years….other two flopped. Mind you this is coming off the heels of drafting Jalen Raegor and JJ Artega Whiteside.

If Hollywood was mid with Mahomes it’s tough to imagine him being much better with Hurts but who knows maybe Hurts is a better passer than Mahomes.
