So 30 year old Reddick gets traded for 25 year old Huff and a 2nd.
And what sounds like about 8m$ in cap space. Howie would have re-signed Reddick if he was okay with Huff money, but he was talking about his contract last season and the report was he wants at least 25m$.

It's not a solid move at all. It's a bad move from a football perspective. It's a cap dump or a bad attitude in the locker room dump. This absolutely makes them a weaker team and the pick they got back is still 3 drafts away. While there is potential for them, no one looks at their edges as a scary group. With Reddick in the mix they were much more disruptive. Depending on how their other free agent moves (signings vs departures) go next offseason there is a chance they would have received a 3rd as a comp pick any way. There is just no way to pretend this is a solid move unless you wanted him gone.
Fourth team in five seasons for Reddick. My guess is when he’s not rushing opponents’ quarterbacks whatever he’s doing is not good enough to want to keep him. Cowboys fans hope unloading him is not a “solid move”. Jets fans hope acquiring him is. Nonetheless, few players in the HoF spent time with four different franchises in a span of five seasons. The only way to know his downside is to actually have him on your roster.

And Arizona let Reddick walk instead of matching the cheap price Carolina got him for, and then Carolina wouldn’t pay him what Philly did, and now Philly doesn’t want to give him the extension that NYJ presumably is working with him on.

DEs who don’t play the run seem to be recyclable

So the Jets aren’t going toying him a deal because he’s recyclable?

I’d trade them Parsons for Reddick plus a first and mid round pick.

Done with his big mouth, record breaking expected coming pay day, and turning into a pumpkin in the biggest games.
So you’re tired of the whole team they’ve all done it and it predates them. Micah wasn’t here 10 years ago…or even 15 years ago. But Ware and Witten were….and they too turned into pumpkins….these are hall of fame talents.

They’ll give him a deal like Philadelphia did, and then when Arod is done and their cap is a mess, they’ll probably cut bait when the cap hits get really bad.
That’s everyone lol. They are playing for now not 5 years down the road. Maybe that’s what the Eagles are playing for…..
