Righteous, I've said from the beginning it's evident..it's about paperwork now, that's essentially what u were eluding to abt.. there's no activity as far as offers or inquiries with any other teams but yet they have (Seattle) spoken with several teams about him. It's never just one thing in these matters but I assume one of the things that play a factor in why it's not just so cookie cut& dry& just a simple, normal trade is the third creating that spectacle when initially got the wheels in motion by hunting Garrett down & telling him what to do on National TV on Christmas Eve.John Schneider, Paul Allen& the front office hierarchy are proud, stubborn, respectable people so their gonna chagrin on situation that their getting played or the perception is their getting played. So that's a factor in this equation, both sides don't wanna give off the impression their fleecing each other sorta say.If the third is serious about playing for us he could or better yet his representation say they will not sign an extension with any team besides us. Now the so called market he has vying for his services are dried up& are slim to none because of the respective team not having any guarantees their going to be able to extend the player, so the request of 1's &3's that they speak becomes 4's& 5's..& Maybe we'll throw in a player (Scandrick) but ultimately the third gonna be a Cowboy& that u could Trust.
IF ET really wants to be here he can refuse to sign an extension with another team which means no one else will give up a premium pick to trade for him. It would give us huge bargaining power.
