With the draft being in Dallas. No way they are giving up a 1st and not having the spotlight on them during the 1st day of the draft. Will never happen.

If that's what it takes to prevent it, fine with me. Giving up our first round pick to acquire Earl Thomas in 2018 would be a classic Jerry Move™.

Yeah, it would be really dumb considering we've actually been decent drafting in the 1st round the past ~7 years or so. Really the only duds over that time period were Claiborne and maybe Jones (I'm not giving up on Taco yet like many on this board)

Seattle has reason to not admit to shopping him. It reduces their leverage and alienates ET to admit so.

I would tell them they can have a 4th or we will just sign him next year when he is a FA.

I think he is already alienated. They have jettisoned huge pieces of that defense. I don't think he'd be thrilled to stick around for that retool.

Give them next year's 1st which would be the equivalent of a 2nd this year. Bring Thomas home!

This year's 3rd and a conditional pick in 2019. Call it a day and look for bargains on the way to the draft. I would be good with this course of action.

Agree.

I want Thomas but i'm not giving up a 1 for a 28 year old.

I don't want Ridley because he's 24.

I'm not worried about Ridley's age at all.

They drafted Newman when he was almost 25 and got 8 years out of him. And the guy is still in the league!

But no, I'm not giving up a 1st rounder and I'm sure not giving Thomas more than what Eric Berry got.

If that's the case, both he, and Seattle, have a problem.

Fish posts a lot of crap I don't agree with and he absolutely is running a business trying to sell subscriptions... but he also has the best connection with Jerry Jones and Dez Bryant of any media member.
The guy co-authored Jerry's book. He can text both guys and get responses.

He is hardly Florio.

They can ask for a first all they want but I’d never give up our first.

Second is ok but offer a third and see what happens.

How does philly get all these guys for cheap, but we get charged high? Bad negotiation on our part? highest id part with is a second since it is a typical jerry gamble anyways.

hell no,he is a FA after this year.nobody in their right mind should give seattle more than a 3rd for him .
It’s rumored he’s negotiating a new deal that would extend him. He’s worth more than a 3rd. He’s a top 3 safety in the league.
