Early Games thread

Tate looked great in Detroit even when CJ was out and Harvin was great without a QB in Minnesota. They're not perfect players, but both could have been used much more effectively. Graham won't be any different there unless they figure out how to utilize him.

You are very liberal in your use of the word great. Neither guy has looked great in the NFL. They have looked good at times, but not great.

To be fair, the #1 challenge, no matter draft status, is being the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. The most scrutinized position in American sports.

Romo has handled it very well.

All QB's are scrutinized regardless what team they play for especially If they're taken # 1 overall.

Being the # 1 overall pick is a tremendous challenge because everyone expects that player if it's a QB to lead their team to a championship. The expectations put on the #1 overall pick are like no other which is why many of them go bust.

no doubt. i don't doubt that at all. while the obstacles are different the road can be rougher having to prove yourself from an unknown. if you're drafted at the top of the class you dont have the same obstacles as an undrafted. your set of obstacles are different but you at least get first dibs. but to have the career Romo is having and being undrafted. thats not something that happens often at all.

Watching Skins -Dolphins game in Tampa... Skins got Alfred Morris and that bout it...

thats true though. being on the Cowboys and being undrafted might as well just assume you have some of the same obstacles as a top of the draft class QB. so Romo had to deal with both in a sense. high exposure plus coming from an unknown.

How did LSU ever lose with Jeremy Hill, Jarvis Landry, Beckham, that Defense and Mettenberger

Semantics. I didn't mean great like All-Pro. If you want to substitute it for very good then thats fine. Either way, Seattle didn't use them right and both looked way better out of that offense.
