Early Games thread

yeh not saying u did. just responding off the vibe im getting from other poster.
has Luck ever had to work around the 3rd worst defense in NFL history?

No but he took over a 2-14 team and turned them into an 11-5 playoff team overnight. Romo never faced that challenge.

It's all on him. How he's led the Colts to three straight 11-5 seasons is beyond me.

Woah be careful around here. Seeing luck as being good is danger. Undoubtedly an elite qb

This shouldn't shock anyone. Wilson isn't an elite QB and they didn't utilize Harvin and Tate right either. That team goes as the defense and Lynch go. Wilson is good enough to win as long as those other two are effective.

Hard to utilize Tate the right way. He is a #2 WR at best, but Seattle didn't have a #1 WR opposite of him. The Lions have Calvin Johnson. Percy Harvin has never developed as a WR. He is a guy who gets by on athleticism. He has never mastered the nuances of the receiver position. Utilizing him the right way actually limits an offense.

man the early games thread turned into a romo debate...

It's because fans feel the need to validate Romo's talent by criticizing other QBs. News flash, Romo has had horrible games as well. He's also thrown some very bad interceptions at very crucial moments.

Seeing any QB other than Romo as being good is danger around here.

and Luck has never faced the challenges that Romo has faced. by for a more challenging road.

remember Romo was undrafted.

It's just the first game and the Bill's defense is really good and it's in Buffalo. With that being said, the Colts still seem as though they did last year and that's soft.

Tate looked great in Detroit even when CJ was out and Harvin was great without a QB in Minnesota. They're not perfect players, but both could have been used much more effectively. Graham won't be any different there unless they figure out how to utilize him.

Good quseestion.

Alex Smith is getting the ball out so quickly, the Defense doesn't have time to get to him. Woolfork is eating up the middle, but everyone else, including Watt looks average...

The week 1 overreactions are all kinds of absurd right now....and the games aren't even finished!
