Early look at draft needs

Good post. I think DE could be an area of need also.

What do y'all think about Ray Davis? I think he'd be a good fit.
DE could be a bigger need then we all realize, Armstrong probably gone, DLaw probably plays another season

OLine - if we bring back everyone, this group has been lights out, please don't spend an early pick

RB - absolute snooze fest - pollard has been a true backup RB, yet he's our starter, please draft a day 2 starter

Wideout - Tolbert would have my lowest grade of any starters on this entire roster, GALLUP is MIA, most important
need if we are a true pass every down team, draft wideout at bottom of first. It's also a super loaded class.

Safety - I've wanted a legit safety for 15 years and we never ever ever draft one so I quit caring

Overall, we need some skill players added to this group, big boys are doing just fine.

Edge is definitely a need. The passrush is kind of meh right now anyway. Chop Robinson shouldn't be a surprise if that's the route they go.

Armstrong, DLaw, Fowler all set to be gone I would think.

I think Williams will absorb Fowler snaps, so an edge we take should be a guy that is in a similar vein to Armstrong and Lawrence. Guys that win in the 6 and 7 gap and can rush inside. I think this draft is set up nicely for that with guys like Tuimoloau and Trice likely in our range

More of a 1A than a 1 imo. Would be a good if you have a guy who is a runner only for obvious run downs like Isreal Ibanakanda
I agree. Want more of an in between the tackles runner for my #1 guy, his backup could be more of an all purpose type.

You figure Sam Williams receives a bigger role, but they do did a deep rotation to be effective. Think DLaw stays another season, but the other two probably gone in 2024.

They like to attack from different gaps, and Williams like Fowler is more a wide gap guy. I really think Williams would absorb his snaps next year. To replace Lawrence and/or Armstrong, you really want a guy that can rush from a 6 gap. Find the most Karlaftis like guy in the draft

Believe DLaw is under contract for 1 more season. We do also have Fehoko, but we are going to need to add more depth.

I wouldn't assume that about Williams, but yea, they need rotational depht regardless.

If you have Dlaw for one more, that makes now the perfect time. A DE you get in the late 20's is unlikely to make an immediate impact.

I think the plan for Fehoko is to make him a 3T. Even if not, with him you are really just hoping for a Chauncey Golston like impact

Yes, it takes time to develop edge rushers. Agree, Fehoko will be more of an inside/outside, rotational piece. He probably replaces Gallimore. Not sure if Edge is the most priority need for 2024, but they have to think about the future.

Im off the thought that edge should always be on your radar. Its just that key. I was actually hoping to hear Nolan Smiths name called last year despite our depth and the fact he isnt much different from Williams

I wanted McDonald but the Jets took him much higher then many expected. You never can have enough pass rushers.

I liked McDonald more than Nolan. Though I was speaking about when the pick came up. Fingers were crossed ot was Smith

Unfortunately I dont them signing an OT, especially with Steele extension. My guess is they see if is back to pre injury form in 24, and if not they cut him after that year
Probably right. Hope they at least draft a RT early.

It’s a glaring weakness week in and week out.
