Early odds on Cowboys vs KC

Im the same way.

Offense is still so mistake prone and I hate doing all of this audibling and keeping a slow tempo in a place like KC..

We should beat a team like this by 2 touchdowns but we'll play to their level and im sure it's going to be a nailbiter.

We don't even know what kind of team KC is thus far. I'm sure people felt Seahawks would not do much until they ended up in the playoffs. 2nd week of the season and KC is healthy I think it is a bit soon to be claiming we should win by 2 TD

The Seahawks weren't the Seahawks at that point in the year either. We should've beat them too but it was a typical Cowboys dud.

seahawks were not the seahawks yet? lol ok they just played the same style all season taking down top teams but they were not themselfs at that point. Just when I think I have heard it all. lol

I expect this team to be riding on a high hore and come out flat, make sloppy plays, and be in a dog fight all Sunday.

Hopefully we're prepared to play and don't come out like we did against Seattle last year and think it's a push over.

There is no excuse whatsoever for this to happen again. The Seattle game will be a topic all week.

A lot of chiefs fans are thinking they'll win. It could very well be a trap game. You knew they'd have quite a turn around after the offseason they had. Kc is not an easy place to win at. Are we the better team yes but its anybodies game.

I am not sure how we (The Cowboys) have a "trap" game. What have we done in the past few years to make us believe any game is a "gimme". If this is indeed a trap game for the Cowboys, then that is the teams problem altogether - believing that somehow our history makes us winners in the current year.

Chiefs are a playoff team in the AFC this year. Watch, if we win it's a great win. Vegas is right on their with the pick em'. I see this being a low scoring game like 17-14 or 20-17.... Their defense is very good and they have a serviceable offense with 2 really good players in Charles and Bowe. GOing to be a very tough game

A "trap" game has nothing to do with the Cowboys mindset. That is a term used by gamblers and gamblers only.

I'm amazed at how many Chief fans on the forums think we flat out suck. I mean, we're not SB contenders or anything but come on. They won two game last season...

If you want to play that card then fine, be my guest.

But we haven't had enough turnover to think a lot of that same mentality isn't still in that locker room.

It's an organizational issue and always has been. High's are too high and lows are too low.

Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes though but it looks like offensively they still think slow tempo football is the way to go so i've kinda lost all faith in some departments and im just hoping we get lucky and make some plays.

Not enough turn over? There are like 11 players that were here during Wade's tenure.. they include Lee, Romo, Hatcher, Ware, Church, LP, which ones of these need to go to get the mentality right in the locker room?

The OL changed out 3 of 5 positions.
The Defense changed coaches and schemes
The play caller changed.

This is completely different team than last year or any other year. If you want to keep hating on the team you root for, that's your call. But to say you don't trust THIS team after one came is crazy IMO. Now if you don't like Jerry or Garrett or who ever you feel like is running the team, that's a different story. But the players play and as long as they give it 100% every game, I am going to roll with them.

This is a big game. If the Cowboys want people to believe they are more than an 8-8 team they need to win this one. It's going to be tough.

Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs – Open: -1, Move: -3
Some shops opened this game at Chiefs -1 after Dallas beat New York on Sunday Night Football. That’s been quickly bet up to a field goal. Bettors are impressed with new-look Kansas City, even if its Week 1 victory came courtesy of the lowly Jaguars. However, the oddmakers aren’t overly sold on K.C.

We don’t care that (Tony) Romo and (Dez) Bryant are banged up for the Cowboys because at UWin we do not believe in Alex Smith,” says Candler. “The Cowboys against ‘Mr Check Down’ with a 2.5-point lead at +105? No contest here.”

LOL!

Trap game for Dallas? How bout trap game for KC and Andy Reid who play in Philly vs Reid's ole team on short rest next Thursday. Gotta believe he has that game circled whether he wants to admit it or not...still won't be easy in KC this weekend but I think their schedule plays in our favor

It's too early in the season to have a trap game especially for 2 teams that only combined for 10 wins last season. Neither KC or Dallas has any business not being prepared to play with the type of seasons they've been having. If a team that hasn't had a winning season or made the playoffs in 3 years is looking past an opponent heading into week #2 that's a team that will once again end up sitting home for the playoffs. KC was 2-14 last season they won't be looking past anyone. If you look past anyone in the NFL you'll get your butt handed to you especially if your a team still trying to find an identity.

Isn't that the definition of a trap game?

Isn't that the definition of a trap game?

The Cowboys vs the Chiefs isn't the definition of a trap game. The definition of a trap game is a game that pits a heavily favored team vs an inferior opponent. The heavily favored team usually looks past the inferior opponent. That won't be the case this Sunday for either the Cowboys or the Chiefs because the odds are close and both teams are coming off disappointing seasons The Cowboys have gone longer than the Chiefs without a winning season. As disappointing as the Chiefs and Cowboys have been in recent years it's laughable for anyone to think this could be a trap game for either team.

They beat Green Bay the very next week.
I'd say that Seattle , at home, was already very good when Dallas played the last year.

If the Cowboys are the same ol' Cowboys.. 30-24 Chiefs..

If this is the Cowboys we hope they are then 27-17 Cowboys

This is not a trap game folks! It's just a tough game plain and simple. Playing a tough opponent in their home opener. We will not be overlooking them or coming out flat. If we lose this one it will be because they were better on Sunday. But I'll tell you this - if we win it is a huge feather in our cap and a big step forward to my predicted 11 win season.
