Ed Werder on judging the Cowboys

Ed is an idiot. No one is judging the Cowboys from one joint practice. Most people are looking for signs of improvement especially on the defensive side.
Actually, many are.

While he's not wrong (at all), I have to say: despite the fact that for quite some time, I've been very, very cynical about this team...I'm more hopeful than I have been about them than I have been in years.

why you using my picture before we talked about me getting royalties?

Its hard to judge on whether or not they won the superbowl when they haven’t played the first preseason game.

Who the heck cares what Werder or any other mediot says about judging the Cowboys.

The facts are in their first 30 years of existence, they played in 8 Super Bowls… or 26% of the time. In the last 30 years, they have played in 0 of them. Heck they haven’t even played in an NFCCG. The constant has been Jerry acting as GM, Stephen the unqualified VP and Rowdy the cursed mascot.

Take your pick whose fault it is. But my pick is obviously Jerry. One thing Werder is right about, used to have higher expectations around here. How deep can the Cowboys go in the playoffs? Now, it’s can they sneak into the playoffs as a WC team?

Oh well, at least they’re worth over $15B…. Whoopeeee:muttley:

I don’t know why folks are taking umbrage with what Werder is saying?

He’s right.

I think it’s actually more schadenfreude towards the new/social media reporters and the content they put out.

Personally, I’m tired of these goofs making 20 minute videos with clickbait titles about how the Cowboys supposedly found another “late round gem” or calling some FA pickup a “blockbuster” roster move, or in this latest case how we supposedly dominated the Rams in a non-tackle practice.
Except he is wrong. Outside of a few silly fans screaming Super Bowl, no rational fan is thinking this yet. I saw many reports of the bad too. Blue's fumble, Daks interception on throw to Pickens, the play action not working very well and Steele not looking great. He is probably one of those that reported at the last Rams/Cowboys joint practice at how bad our defense was. That is there job to give us updates on what they saw. After reports of last years joint practice I literally got depressed. I knew the defense wasn't going to be good, although not historically bad. This year this practice showed signs of us moving in the right direction. So, there is nothing wrong with having a little optimism about our season this year. Most of know we got to see the product on the field first. He comes off upset at the optimism to me or just a Rams fan. :p
