How many miracles have we had to win? From what I have seen we have been assertive on most of our wins. Far from miracles. Please explain.
The Eagles game. While Prescott led a great come back, two things led to that come back. First, Prescott played terrible the first three quarters. Second, the Eagle quit blitzing.

For the record, I don't think you mess with what the Cowboys have going. A few weeks ago, I said start Romo when he's healthy. Now, just wait and see if Prescott wets the bed.

Well said ... the point is we're winning? This is what you say you want right? It seems that some are stuck on who's winning and how it may look rather than winning. Of course he's not perfect but his first 8 starts compare favorably to that of HOF caliber QB's including our next opponent. We've lost to philly at home for 3 years straight. The philly game BECAUSE of the adversity, was his most impressive game imo.

We are winning and that's why I would keep Dak in. I personally don't believe putting Romo back in would affect any chemistry or anything, but I think the flow of the offense would change because Romo would be rusty and would take time to get back into the groove of things. The offense is flowing real well right now with Dak and it would be silly to change that up right now. It pains me to say all this because I am admittedly a massive Romo fan and I would love to see him get one last shot at a Super Bowl, but I'm a Cowboys fan and we all want to see this team have success and keep winning. Dak is doing that right now at the quarterback position and I see no reason to change it unless we have to.

It will be interesting to see how Dak handles having Romo active and suited up. I don't think he feels any pressure with Sanchez behind him, but that could change with Romo back in there. The pressure will be on for him to perform at a high level because he knows if he has a couple bad games, he could be yanked for Romo.

A point to consider.

You really can't dress Romo unless you are sure that if called upon he would be ready to play and to finish a game. We have several guys on the active roster that are definite scratches already, so we can't really afford to activate 3 qbs when we already have Chruch, Green, Claiborne, Nzeocha and Davis on the active roster but unable to play. At some point your depth means you can only go with 2 QBs being active.
I think you are proving the exact opposite. If there already scratches on the 53, wouldn't that give more opportunity to dress 3 QB's?

"Source says that Tony Romo feels he has recovered from preseason compression fracture in back, ready to play, capable of taking NFL hits"

Sources: When Tony Romo dresses in uniform and available to play for #Cowboys has moved from medical decision to coaching decision.

Stuff is getting real, Zoners. Let's see if Jerruh can help himself. Gonna be a very interesting second half in Cowboy land.
He's ready? Give him the clipboard!!!! Don't hurt yourself, dear boy.

Once you lose chemistry, you can't get it back - so says Ray Lewis and Shannon Sharpe.
Thanks for taking a stab at it, Ray. It's enlightening. Slices right through the heart of the issue.
Shannon is just shooting off his mouth, that big-jawed backstabber.

Only way he could hurt himself is if it's a wooden clipboard. Could get splinters.
Oh, quit ribbing! Tony is back! Tony will yet collar his 3rd career playoff win! He's been boning up on Dak's footwork and will be fine, good lad!

:hammer: I've been saying this repeatedly. I think this is the biggest issue for Romo supporters. The sentimental aspect and idea that Tony "deserves" something. You don't get what you "want" in life, you get what you are. I'm essentially a Romo supporter myself. I'm a Cowboys fan through and through. This is the first time I've witnessed a really competent replacement to really get behind. I think we really hit a home run with Dak and he's easy to root for. His poise and feel for the game is just UNREAL and I'm excited to see what lies ahead. He's been handed the keys to a Lamborghini and I just like the way we look with this driver. My gut tells me he's the "right" driver. I think he has that "something" that this teams been missing and that's not necessarily to slight Tony. At the end of the day we both want the same thing. What separates is that some have seen enough of the Tony movie. It's actually difficult to say that because I really do like the guy on and off the field. Tony at this point is just like that safety crutch some are holding on to. I'm going to trust my eyes and my gut and say let's just roll with Dak.

Romo is ready if he's needed and hopefully he won't be needed.

It's nice to have that insurance though if he is needed. God forbid anything happens to Dak or if he starts playing bad, you can put it in a guy like Romo who has proven he can win football games unlike the other bad experiments we've had the last few years. Not many teams, if any, have the luxury of having the options like we do at the quarterback position.

What a fantastic post, Doomsday. This is the way our fanbase should feel. We have been deprived of success for so long that now that we are at the doorstep, truly at the doorstep of something really nice, our ego's need to be put in check (as you said) and we need to rally behind this season. If it's Dak, it's Dak. If it's Romo, it's Romo. I want Dak to stay in, but I'm gonna cheer like a cheerleader for whomever is behind center as we continue our ascent in the NFC.

This isn't about "being right about my guy." This is about Cowboys Football.

I don't think Ben was remotely close to fully healed. I don't think he'll be fully healed for this weekend's game either.
I chose the wrong word instead of healed I should of said game ready. Having the injury so that it can work normally is the focus not so much the surrounding pieces like confidence in placing full weight and not thinking about it when you turn or run.

Everyone seems to agree that you put Romo back in when Dak is faltering. What if Dak starts faltering in the divisional round of the playoffs and we have a cold Romo on the bench.

In my opinion, you start Romo now and allow him a few games to get back to game speed. If he isn't putting up his 300 yd, 3 TD stat lines (which were his norm) 2 or 3 weeks in, Dak can come back in before the playoffs. But you give Romo the chance to show he can play All-pro again.

Only one of the QBs on the roster can play at an all pro level and when playoff defenses close running lanes and passes to Beasly's faster, we're gonna need all pro passing to win.
