Edoga has developed into a very good player, not a star, just solid. His problem has been staying healthy. I was impressed by his play.

It needs to be said that I was very wrong about Edoga. Had a nice game. Bass filled in fine too.
Going with the veteran was a good move in week one. Edoga definitely seems better suited to play guard than tackle.

If something happens to Tyron I'd want Tyler to move outside. Where we'd get in trouble is if they're both hurt.

Edoga was predicted to be a trainwreck by hand wringers around here. He was solid but he was not getting any push in the run game.
He is what he is, serviceable. Sometimes that's good enough. I'll take the win.

Amazing what a win can do

Before last night people were screaming for Peters or Risner.

Now it’s “Edoga, Bass and Richards are solid!”
I'd still like Peters as insurance. Inevitably we will have injuries . Why not be proactive? I'd sign him. So my view hasn't really changed on Peters.

Don’t worry i wouldn’t be surprised if Evan Neal becomes our next project at tackle before seasons end
F no. Lol. The kid is a bust at tackle. Now what I would do is see if he can be a guard. Move him inside. Could be the next great guard behind Martin for when he retires. Get neal in there at guard if the Giants release him. But hell no ...I'm out trying to make him a decent tackle. He stinks.

I lowered my expectations on edoga and was pleasantly pleased . Turns out maybe the staff knew what we had, and they had a plan.

Here's the thing this happened last offseason the cowboy zone the social media pundits ESPN all said the Dallas Cowboys had a historically bad offseason because they didn't have enough talent they didn't replace enough talent they didn't have enough depth... I mean winner everyone gonna realize you should never prejudge a team before they play a real game and the fact is you gotta let him play at least get 5-6 games in in the season to see where they're really at you know a bigger sample size than just guessing because that's what people do with these preseason rankings.. It turns out we had plenty of depth to get to the second round of the playoffs last year and it turns out we had plenty of depth this year to cover up that linebacker offensive line things look pretty good I mean those safety hybrid linebackers filled in real good.. All the talk about Isaiah land we're going to rue the day we let him go and yet I'm pretty sure our pass rushers feasted last night I think everybody got in on it I don't think we needed that dude..

So let's be clear this isn't really an attack on you I just get tired of hearing all the preseason stuff especially about not playing your players in the preseason how did that work out all the teams that did that where is the oddsmakers on which one.... games i saw yesterday the first half most of them look like garbage.

so all those things that were created in the media the narratives around here ,they were all wrong about the cowboys....

Well, compared to the rookie unknowns that possibly become turnstyles in their first NFL action... yes, they are reliable. It's better to build from a serviceable rookie lineman. OL take time to develop, and yet Bass and Richards were quietly doing their jobs Sunday night.

I'm good with that, as a starting position, yes I am!

Decent start but I will reserve judgement until we play the Eagles and Commanders both I think have better DL than Giants. Of course I won't forget SF DL as well.
