This is one of those times where JAG players are going to look great when everything around them is going well.
I think you are wrong....made multiple comments in the game chat that he was getting push. He opened up a really nice hole down near the goal line and Pollard cut right off his block.Edoga was predicted to be a trainwreck by hand wringers around here. He was solid but he was not getting any push in the run game.
Maybe. I haven't had a chance to rewatch the game. When I do I'll look closer.I think you are wrong....made multiple comments in the game chat that he was getting push. He opened up a really nice hole down near the goal line and Pollard cut right off his block.
Here's the thing this happened last offseason the cowboy zone the social media pundits ESPN all said the Dallas Cowboys had a historically bad offseason because they didn't have enough talent they didn't replace enough talent they didn't have enough depth... I mean winner everyone gonna realize you should never prejudge a team before they play a real game and the fact is you gotta let him play at least get 5-6 games in in the season to see where they're really at you know a bigger sample size than just guessing because that's what people do with these preseason rankings.. It turns out we had plenty of depth to get to the second round of the playoffs last year and it turns out we had plenty of depth this year to cover up that linebacker offensive line things look pretty good I mean those safety hybrid linebackers filled in real good.. All the talk about Isaiah land we're going to rue the day we let him go and yet I'm pretty sure our pass rushers feasted last night I think everybody got in on it I don't think we needed that dude..
So let's be clear this isn't really an attack on you I just get tired of hearing all the preseason stuff especially about not playing your players in the preseason how did that work out all the teams that did that where is the oddsmakers on which one.... games i saw yesterday the first half most of them look like garbage.
so all those things that were created in the media the narratives around here ,they were all wrong about the cowboys....
Could you imagionDon’t worry i wouldn’t be surprised if Evan Neal becomes our next project at tackle before seasons end
I agree a 100% with everything except Land . . . I would have liked to hold on to him. Here's the thing this happened last offseason the cowboy zone the social media pundits ESPN all said the Dallas Cowboys had a historically bad offseason because they didn't have enough talent they didn't replace enough talent they didn't have enough depth... the linebackers and tight ends are the 2 areas of concern. We need better from Ferguson. Our OL depth "issues" are the biggest singular misnomer about this team all offseason/preseason.
All anyone had to do was watch how our backups played all preseason to know we were fine.
Having said that, Edoga surprised as all we heard was the media saying he looked bad and then was hurt.
true. He pieced together guys no other team wanted and made them better as a unit. Thats kinda his calling card. His days in San Fran and New Orleans helped him greatly before he became the Green Bay HC. Many don't understand he was on a staff that won rings in San Fran and New Orleans. Before he ever went 2 Green Bay.We are blessed to have him and his knowledge.MM has a history of making an Oline work with guys, we just are not use to backups playing well because of the JG dark days. Gotta give MM props we keep finding good OL backups.
It was complimentary ball. The offense had a lot of help from the defense last night, NYG defense was already gassed by the second quarter and the momentum was solidly on Dallas's side. I'm hopeful that the media panning of our OL depth was overblown but cautious about reading too much into a win with that many extenuating circumstances.
Eventually his attitude will hit the fan! He's still coming...I think Waletzko is on the outside looking in due to always being hurt.
Thin at true lb agreed.the linebackers and tight ends are the 2 areas of concern. We need better from Ferguson.
