And they ran Cunningham and company out of Texas Stadium in the playoffs. The team showed increasing maturity and skill as the season wore on. However, I remember at the time not being entirely confident about going out to Candlestick Park and taking out San Francisco, which had a phenomenal club that went 14-2 that year.

I remember that Eagles playoff game. We had a snow storm where I lived and after the game I was warming up my car, clapping and singing "Super Bowl Super Bowl". Just like you I was apprehensive about playing at that muddy house of horrors, but there was something special happening in Cowboyland. I could feel it then and I hope it's back.

Sorry to derail the hype train but the no name 1992 defense was league leader in yards and 5th in points.

I think they are closer to where the 1991 team was. That team was 17th in defense. That team won their last 6 and made it to the division playoffs beating the Bears before losing to Detroit.

A whole lot until about halfway through his second season although they found new-found vigor after that year's collapse. Not many at all after his third year.

I can honestly say while watching the pre-season games I thought we were in for a looooong season. My prediction was 6 wins, I'm SO happy I was wrong.
