Sorry to derail the hype train but the no name 1992 defense was league leader in yards and 5th in points.

I think they are closer to where the 1991 team was. That team was 17th in defense. That team won their last 6 and made it to the division playoffs beating the Bears before losing to Detroit.

Like you said, the 91 team's season ended with a loss to......Detroit. Let's just stick with the 92 parallels.;):D

Lol you can't be serious? Where's the camera am I being Punked?

No they wouldn't. They wouldn't get the ball back.

This team put 30+ points in 10 of 16 games this year.if they would have kept the pedal to the metal it would have been 40 points in those 10 games...

So you are right ... It stands to reason that they could NOT hang with 1992 team.

And QBs regularly throw over 300 yards a game when it was unheard of back in the 90s. Four hundred happens more often than ever in the 90s. Rules have changed to open up offenses.

What's your point? This year's offense was not better than Denver last year and Denver got stifled by a Seattle defense that resembled a 90s defense, a team Pete Carroll said mimicked what Jimmy Johnson did draft wise.

My point ... Again ... This team could hang with that 90s team.

Don't compare with Broncos of last year.

This cowboys team has a balanced offense. Scoring is not one dimensional like Broncos.
It's more like 90s Cowboys.

If you magically transported that 1992 team to present day and had them line up against modern day teams? I'm not sure they'd do all that well. Times have changed. Schemes are way more complicated. And while I don't have stats to back this up in front of me, but I'd guess that on average, the players are bigger and faster now just due to advances in medicine/training.

I don't believe anyone said it meant anything. It's just a report of facts; statistically improbable coincidences between two teams under the Cowboys' banner two decades apart. It doesn't mean we're GOING to win the SB or even any playoff games.

Your right we are going to win multiple superbowls

Scoring is scoring... Dallas LBs during the 92 era could move laterally quicker than anybody, the fastest linebackers in the league.

Kevin Smith was on pace to be dominant as a Deion before his Achilles tear, shutting down Rice and wouldn't need help on Dez. The front line had too many men in rotation and safety play was ridiculous.

Opinion on opinion. No matter how you slice it.
