Eli the best QB in the division?

He is.

He's won the big game and his team routinely makes Overthromo and the Cowboys a laughing stock. There is no argument for Cowboys fans against Eli, just accept that he's better and sleep easy. I've already done it.

I would too ..... just like I think Romo is better.

Just saying why the Giants would feel this way.

Whoever was doing the custom title changes should open it up to user name changes so this guy can change his name to Monster Troll.

You should get a t-shirt that says, "I live to troll."

I'm sorry if presenting the facts is trolling.

Maybe my username should be George Washington because I cannot tell a lie.

McNabb has had the best career

Romo is clearly the best fantasy QB. If he had a few more playoff wins, there would be no arguing that he is the best of the bunch.

Eli took a serious leap during the Giants playoff/SB run and has been very solid since then. He has won a Superbowl and that kinda means a lot.

Campbell needs to be somewhere that he can receive consistent coaching. He really has some great tools.

Except that you lied in another thread about your prediction for this team.

I thought they were an 8-8 to 9-7 type of team. With breaks they could do better, worse if things went horribly wrong. I didn't expect them to make the playoffs and if they did somehow make the playoffs they'd lose the first game.

People that proclaim that they never tell a lie, are liars.

Just the facts.

No he's not.

They swept us this year, we split last year and beat them two out of three in 07 and split again in 06. The only thing routine is that they've been evenly matched.

As for the big game, it would stand to reason then that he's better than the likes of Dan Marino, because he never one the big game. He's not. Not by a long shot. He's not even better than McNabb.

Don't confuse your cynicism with reality or facts. It's a condition endemic only of how you think. The rest of the world and the facts within it are independent of your thoughts.

He's won the big game...
So, in other words, the following QBs were/are also better QBs than Romo:

Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Doug Williams
Jim McMahon

You have provided little in the way of facts so I will help you out with the facts. Note the numbers. Not spouting random opinions but the numbers. Look hard.

Romo career numbers in just 4 years
95.6 Qb rating 107 TD's 55 Int's

Eli career numbers over the same 4 years
82.6 Qb rating 95 TD's 62 Int's

You can apologize any time now.

McNabb --- Career longevity and overall stats grade out highest. Numerous playoff wins. Looks to be on downside of his career and was beaten up pretty badly by the Cowboys to end 2009. Overall athletic package is still quite good. Biggest issue is consistency with his accuracy.

Romo --- Great career stats and high overall athleticism aided by recent playoff win. Career QB rating is 95+ which higher than any single season Eli Manning has ever had. Biggest issue is handling extreme pressure.

Eli --- Has SB win in his cap but was pretty mediocre that season as a whole and hasn't been able to overcome other team deficiencies. Hasn't won a playoff game since the SB two years ago. He's actually gotten better since the Giants last won anything but his team is in 3rd place and he falls there statistically as well. Biggest issue is lack of athleticism that causes stalled drives.

Campbell --- Solid bus driver type who you can win games with but isn't going to carry teams. His biggest issue is that he faces better QBs regularly with one of the worst offensive line in the league around him. He's erratic and jittery.

If you move away Mississippi will rise at least 5 points in average IQ score.

I understand Eli was your hero at Ole Miss and all but posting nonsense just makes you look bad.

I'll take Romo any day of the week over Eli, but I don't think he's as bad as we make him out to be. Anytime a starting quarterback gets that Super Bowl ring, that's part of their legacy and it's something you can't take away from him. Like I said, Romo's the better player and I'm glad to have him, but if I was a Giants fan, I wouldn't be too upset with Eli Manning as QB, considering he got a ring.

I think Eli is a good QB, the ring however has nothing to do with it his team won the ring and as we saw when their running game started to suffer and their defense was no longer playing well he and his team failed to make the playoffs. Stat wise Eli had his best season this past year his SB year was not that great as far as his own play.

Oh I agree, but when it came down to it, he was clutch at the end of the Super Bowl game and is one of the big reasons why they won on that day. It's easy for me to see how a city can have lasting faith in a decent QB after something like that.

They have every right to believe he is the best in the division.

I disagree but he does have a SB ring.

lots of medicore qb's have rings - Rypien, Hostelter, Plunkett, Dilfer,
B Johnson, D Williams, and more

I think a logical argument can be made for Eli being the best QB in the NFC East. I think a logical argument can be made for McNabb being the best QB in the NFC East. I think a logical argument can be made for Tony being the best QB in the NFC East.

I think to outright deny there could be validity to any one of them for any given weighted reason is probably myopic at best.

The only QB you cannot make that argument for in the NFC East is Campbell, and honestly that is through no fault of his.

What facts did you present? Are you implying that Tony's last name is actually Overthromo? How about the fact that Eli is only 4-3 vs. Romo as a starter over the last three seasons? In one of those performances he put up only 8 points. Hardly embarrassing the Cowboys.
