Elite run game is more about the OL then an elite RB

I hear ya, but until we get new players, I still consider him to be at the very least the 3rd, if not the 1st or 2nd best O-lineman we have on the team. Yes he's often injured and that's why he's my starting RT, not my LT. When he does go down, we know Steele can step in and be a very capable back up at RT and that move would be the least intrusive to the line.
You do realize that you’re still line shuffling though, right?

Numbers will trump some guy’s opinions every single time.
I wish they’d hurry up and trumb my opinion then because so far I’ve been right about everything and it plays out that way on the field.

Dak’s not a carry the team type of QB. He’s just not.

hopefully not, but yes, if need be I'd keep it to a bare minimum.
So you're saying you want to cut him? But going with who to replace him or whatever hole you create by cutting him?

You are credible with your opinions of players in the draft. You went out on a limb with Parsons before the 2021 draft when most of the board thought he was Jaylon 2.0. What are your top cornerback for pick 26 and 58? I want to watch them at the combine.
I think the top guys, in no particular order, are:

Gonzaez
Witherspoon
Porter Jr
Forbes
Banks

As long as they test well all 1st round CBs IMO.

Turner
Ringo
Phillips
Smith
Williams

2nd round options

It all comes down to cost for me.

After 8 years, the verdict is in.

1, He can’t be relied upon. To suggest such a thing is being willfully ignorant.

2. You can’t pay him his current rate because of his perpetual missed time. They haven’t gotten a good return on investment for years.

It’s time to finally learn that lesson.

If he’s not a cheap option for this team, I’d trade or cut him. It doesn’t make me happy, but it’s the right thing to do.

I’m hoping Ringo goes nuts this week and tests real well, so he doesn’t get near the Cowboys pick. They will drool over his traits

We do but you don’t pick the 5th or 6th best cornerback when you have the choice of a top 3 tight end, guard, running back, ect….. then you end up with Taco and Bossman.
I agree, but you also don’t want to reach the next rd or two either

Yea, I think he will and will get drafted in the 1st but I see him as more of a traits pick which scares me a little at CB.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has the highest SPARQ / RAS score for all CBs. Have heard he’ll run in the 4.3s but his instincts are a little iffy.

I'm telling you, he fits exactly what they covet at the position and will be hard pressed not to take him. He is a Patrick Peterson clone trait wise. I do agree, his tape is very up and down and is more of a 2nd rd prospect.

Oh I agree, he’s just not what I covet in a 1st round CB. He’s be a traits pick.

You might get Tyson Campbell who is turning into a stud, or you might get Kelvin Joseph who hasn’t cracked the starting lineup.

PP had blue chip tape to match the athleticism…

Or Trevon Diggs?

He was the ‘8th best cornerback’ in the 2020 draft.

Dane Bruglar actually compares him to Campbell at the same stage. Banks is the corner I like most in the 2nd tier.

Look at the 2 SB teams, arguably the two best offensive lines in the entire league. The Chiefs did not give up a single sack against a defense that had 85 in the regular season. Biggest reason why they beat the Eagles, was cause they were able to run the football effectively. They did this with a former 7th rd running back, where they aren't picking up the 5th yr option on 1 they drafted in the 1st rd. Eagles run game was the best in the business, not only was it hard enough facing a read option QB, but they were able to keep him clean all season long.

If the Cowboys want to return back to an elite running team, it's about shoring up their OL first, replacing Zeke will a legitimate option to complement Pollard. I wouldn't hurt to use Dak's legs as well.

With the news yesterday, Tyron coming back, Steele ahead of schedule, I would target either Ethan Picoc from the Browns who was rated the 5th best center and played under Scott/Solari in Seattle or John Michael Schmitz in the draft. I fully understand Biaz is improving and just came off a pro bowl season, but we need an elite Center to reach that next level.

As for running back, I think with a deep class, we can find a very good prospect somewhere on day 2. Charbonnet, Bigsby, Evans all would be excellent fits.
Not sure if I completely agree.

Niners have the best run blocking scheme and possibly best overall run blocking in the league.

They traded for McCaffrey...

KC had Mahomes.

Eagle QB is also their RB.

Yea, just don’t know what kind of player you’re going to get. I actually think he’s be better suited for a zone heavy scheme where he can keep everything in front of him.

Love Banks, have him over Ringo and would take him at 26.

Many scouting reports state he lacks anticipation and that trait probably cannot be learned on the nfl level, either you have it or you don’t

Certainly a big time runner can make a difference, but how many of those types are out there, how many can stay healthy and productive for the long haul, Peterson was the outliner

That and they have the best Center in the league. Chiefs probably have the 2nd best. We never. have been the same since Frederick retired.
So true.

They were so good that two different RB's led the league in rushing in a three year span, Murray in 2014, Zeke in 2016.

Zeke was a top 4 overall, Murray was a 3rd rounder.
