Hopefully his fumbling was just a fluke and this is not going to be a weekly thing like it was with DeMarco.

Credit all around.

Credit to the coaches and team for sitting him when he screwed up twice. It was the right thing to do.

And credit to him for understanding why it happened, and taking a positive attitude about it, to improve, and make sure it never happens again.

After last tweek, he better be ready for people to start going after the ball on every carry.

I'm loving how professional Zeke and Dak are though. Dak especially is very good at saying the right things without making it sound corny and rehearsed.

Start Morris and let Zeke play relief for a few snaps. That will definitely let it sink in. This kid gotta know we can't have that and to be honest Dak needs a vet with him. Zeke has a whole lot of time to develop but right now Morris should be the man.

Thats the best and most logical approach. Give Elliott a little breathing room. He will turn out to be a good Cowboy.

Yes. Anyway, mistakes and fumbles are part of football. Elliott would be much sharper if he had a full TC and preseason. That hurt him.

It definitely did. It looks to me like he's pressing and not comfortable out there yet. Other than the fumbles, he looked to be improved from week one, and hopefully looks even better for week three.

If both of our rookies continue to improve each week, we'll be in great shape.

It is coaching at this point, benching him is not going to improve his play. The best teacher is on the field with a plan that he can execute.

On the first fumble, he had two hands on the ball....it looked that way on the 2nd one as well. I wonder if he has weak hands.

I don't think he is that good that we should be thinking 100+ yds automatically. I mean to say I think he's a good RB but I don't see elite....yet. Boy, I so hope I'm wrong esp given we have all of two games to go on.
It's too early to judge any rookie, really until mid next season, but like you we were all hoping to see a bit more out of him

This is where I think he made a mistake. He thought he can come over from College and be a superstar right off the bat. He said he was going to smash the rookie record etc.. and found out rather quickly that this is not the NCAA. .He has to learn patience and realize that this is not as easy as he thought it was going to be. The injury set him back more than he thinks, and he is probably still struggling with game shape. He will get there, he is too good of a back to fail. He can take a lesson from Dak who is more down to earth, humble and works extremely hard to get to his ultimate goal.

I'm sure Zeke is working on his ball handling because I can promise the Bears will be ripping and punching at that ball.

Interesting that Bears RB Coach Stan Drayton was zeke's Ohio State running backs coach.

I would imagine if anyone knows anything about him to exploit it would be the bears and it would be this week.
