You keep piling on Zeke, but what is your point?

Everyone knows he's not playing up to snuff, but he's improved game to game and he's only played two games in the NFL.
It is the last chance for any EE-deniers to pound their chests.......they will disappear in a few weeks never to be seen again

Terrance Williams should take notes on how to respond when you screw up. Apologize, and work to get better. Thats all we can ask for. Zeke has the tools and as long as he uses tje brain hes been blessed with and avoids all the traps and pitfalls he is going to be a great.

I don't think he is that good that we should be thinking 100+ yds automatically. I mean to say I think he's a good RB but I don't see elite....yet. Boy, I so hope I'm wrong esp given we have all of two games to go on.

Your right about 2 games. Hes not your typical high profile Alabama fat boy rookie RB. I think he gets better and proves he was worth the pick. Probably starting this week. We cant discount the passing game not getting much respect week 1 and the giants having a good defense. This is his best chance yet to ball out.

This turned out nice.

To your credit, even though we disagreed, you didn't get nasty about it.

I think many conversations on this board can end peacefully if people don't take them so personally and fire back in kind. Remember, we're here to agree/disagree on issues not extend those issues to the people involved in them and attack them.

Kudos to you. :)

Yep, I am trying to work on that part of my game. :flagwave:

Thank you.

Me too. I was about to type something that wasn't kind, but then I thought better about it. I'm trying to change my tenor on this board too. So you helped me in that respect by keeping the topic strictly on the issue and not on the person. :)

TWill apologized 100% right after the game....it was only after being pressed and harassed all week did he expound on his reasons for trying to get the first down and stopping the clock

Thats my fault, he did say he made a bad decision and should have "followed the rules" and gotten out of bounds. I cant dog him out for that. But Ill continue to punk on him for the simple stupidity of his decision and his further reactions after the apology. I get it, his pride was hurt but honestly it comes with the territory and Im sick of losing and defending this team. If you cant handle the criticism you need to get better.

PS. HIs reasons were also pretty stupid.

Zeke is going to be fine.

My issue all along will always be that the 4th overall was WAY too much

Just an example value-wise what it adds up (and more)...I don't think some realize how valuable that pick is.

Is Zeke worth?

WR Will Filler (21st pk)
plus
DE Kevin Dodd (33th pk)
plus
LB Sua Cravens (54th pk)

All three of those guys add up to less than the #4 overall in draft value. And so many people of this very forum liked all three players.
PLUS we keep all the rest of our draft.
Think about it.

Not that all of that would for sure have fallen in place, but the team did like them.
I bet all three will eventually be pro-bowlers.

Zeke WILL be fine.
Guess I'll get over it.

Give it up is right........we needed a RB and got the best one

What would you take for Dak right now?

What's dak have to do with Zeke?

But you're right....I have hard time letting it go.
lol

Add those three players and then the rest of draft, including Zeke, and this team is well on it's way.
Superstar deep threat
Strong starting DE...looking like a stud
Everywhere LB

just what the team needs
I'd trade that for a RB all day every day

like I said though. Zeke is good in his own right.

I mean we could trade Dak right now for multiple 1sts and we still have Romo....doesn't make it a a good idea...plus picking names after seeing them play is real easy

Plus you have to factor in who else we have, it is Elliott, Ryan Davis and Brice Butler for Fuller, Dodd and Cravens

It's interesting how some Cowboys fans seem invested in Zeke being a bust. I guess that's what happens when being "right" becomes more important to you than the success of your alleged favorite team.

Jerry wouldn't draft all of them... they're not injured or on dope.

That's the way the draft has made the current nfl fandom. People want their team to win and also be the next Mel kiper
