Elliott strains hammy

the 2004 team tells a different story. I am well aware of the stories of how uncomfortable the training room was in the parcells years. the funny thing is the guys who always tell those stories are the guys who always played hurt anyway.

julius jones was banged up right away his rookie year, he traded for quincy morgan who limped around with a hamstring problem most of the year, the entire secondary had nagging injuries and guys would just turn up inactive on gamedays. thats how we ended up with hall of famers like tyrone williams showing up and blowing games against new orleans in december for us.

it happens to everyone, even the greatest ones like parcells.

You can say it but it wasn't a reality. There was nowhere near the level of injured players in and out of the practice field under Parcells in any year as there is with Garrett or Wade or Campo.

But it's comforting to pretend everything's fine. I get it.

We did not have injuries like this with Parcells. The constant carousel of players on the injury report doing light duty. It was an epidemic before Parcells and we're right back to it again.

If only I could put my finger on as to why? It's a mystery.

Ever been to South America on a motorcycle...?

That's as likely as a Parcells team without injuries...for the record.

Things are changing?

2015: 4-12. A laughing stock. Contender for worst team in the league.

It's fun for me to live in reality. I have no desire whatsoever to play cheerleader every year.

You just outed yourself as too ignorant to understand the reasons behind the 4-12 season therefore not worthy of the time to explain it to you. Have fun wallowing in your misery with your minions here in tow.

Parcells made it a point to distinguish between hurt and injured. You could play when hurt.

Of course, he coached in an era where people abused drugs to get on the field. So, there is that

he basically convinced columbo to play down the stretch in 06, columbo told the story many times when he worked the cowboys pre game show a few years ago. Said he should have been on IR but after talking to bill there was no way he wouldn't play.

but at the same time there were guys limping around on bad hamstrings etc.. a lot also. He drove those guys crazy and made it extremely uncomfortable for them to say they couldn't go though. With the current rules I am not sure how any coach could get around it.

That's all hot air...show some facts. The only thing separating us right now, is attitude and distance. (taking a step forward) There goes the distance excuse...

lol such a blow hard at all times. You do not have the ultimate say on what cowboys football is, was or will be. Sorry to break it to you.

the 2004 team was hurt and limping around all year. It was a chronic problem. The secondary was a disaster because of injuries, the defensive line got all banged up and then the wr were injured and guys like julius jones and quincy morgan were dragging bad hamstrings around and not practicing.

but its comforting to pretend you are an expert, I get it.

I tell you what risen you can cherry pick with the best of them

This is just an overreaction by the media and fans. Same with Romo's so called back "stiffness", the way I read it sounded more like the type of soreness you get in going from a light workout regiment to a heavy.

That's because Parcells liked the tough guys like Mr All World Bobby Carpenter.

I don't have fun with any of this I just acknowledge what has happened. I know you're a cheerleader but that doesn't change the fact that nothing had changed with this team. It's run by the same guy who destroyed it with an assist from the same son. You can say hollow things like things have changed and point to a record from two seasons ago but it's just meaningless fan drivel. Same GM, same VP of Personnel, same emasculated weak head coach, same roster full of holes and no depth.

That's, like, reality. The person you tried to chastise has been far more right over the years than you have. It's you that has looked clueless for the better part of 20 years and you'll continue to look clueless until the Cowboys win again. Because you really don't have an opinion. The team thinks for you.

Had a like going there until you ended with a sort of backdoor dismissal of his greatness.

I respect his greatness. But there are differences between what old school guys did and what flies now
