He’s already reinstated the journalists he banned the other day. Lol. I guess “doxxing” and his safety are no longer an issue.

Since he unbanned people that were banned before he bought Twitter based on a twitter poll, I am guessing he tied the unbanning of the journalists to a twitter poll as well to show his "fairness". In any case, I am sure it was more about sending a message than permanently banning people.

The overreactions though by the people banned reminded me a lot of flopping-for-fouls in sports. They knew exactly what they were doing and they wanted to get banned so they could create and become the story rather than report on it.

I really think both sides are playing for attention and support, but it is fun to watch regardless ...

Elon did not pay $44 billion himself, there were other investors to helped pay for it so it is probably nothing to him if it goes under.

As for credibility, he's probably rich enough he does not have to care or at least he seems to act like it.

Either way though, it's still a bad look and there are much better ways to handle things than to put yourself on the throne while reminding everyone its your throne every single day in new and interesting ways.

He certainly was. But these antics have cost him everywhere. Even Tesla and his other ventures have suffered.

Either way though, it's still a bad look and there are much better ways to handle things than to put yourself on the throne while reminding everyone its your throne every single day in new and interesting ways.

It's really a genius move on his part when you think about it, because whoever he brings in next to be CEO will be someone he can control yet the users will think "we won! we won!" with him leaving.

In any case, I never expected him to remain Twitter CEO for very long. In fact, I was surprised he took on the role to start with, but now I see why. He got to enjoy the attention and now he can do what he always planned to do by hiring someone else to be CEO while making Twitter users think it was their idea.

That way he can rid himself of the day-to-day hassles of running a company like Twitter while making the users think it's "their service" while he continues making the big decisions behind the curtain.

It will be funny if what happened to Jack Dorsey happens to Musk though. Jack stepped down as CEO and stayed on the board, but the moment he stepped down, the board and officers basically quit listening to him.

I think Musk needs to distance himself as much as possible. Both publicly and privately. His direct involvement has proven to be a disaster and it’s hurt him everywhere. And he’s gotten himself mired in nonsense, distracting him from more important, real world stuff.

I’ll be interested to see if he actually CAN take that step back or if he’s addicted to the Twitter nonsense and attention at this point.

Elon is waaaay too much of a micromanager to be completely hands-off. The CEO will fill more of a role like a Press Secretary. They're paid just to stand there and take the kicks and punches..

This situation is very interesting to watch from the sidelines as someone who has really never used Twitter. It’s funny just how much attention Elon craves, how much he wants his ego stroked, and how many people are so willing to do it for him.

Yet, any perceived negatives that he’s done is nothing compared to what was previously occurring at Twitter.

Yeah, no. I’m willing to be honest and I strongly disagree.

If you’re talking from the perspective of someone who is a fan of him and his viewpoints, sure. But I’m not a fan of him or his viewpoints on many subjects.

I also think it’s hilarious people still think he’s a champion of free speech even though that has been proven to be false.

From what I have observed, Twitter is becoming even more of an echo chamber since Musk took over, and I am definitely not the only person to see that.
