Embarrassed

Cowboys fans should be embarrassed at Cowboys ticket holders. About 40-45% of Cowboys ticket holders sold their tickets to Packers fans for the almighty dollar. There were cheese-heads everywhere wearing those stupid swiss-cheese hats. Anyone who was at the game can verify this. The team is doing their part, but the fans let them down yesterday big time. There was no home field advantage last night. It was a neutral field game. Romo couldn’t hear the snap count because the Packers fans were so loud. It's sad when you're flagged for a false start at home because you cant hear the snap count.

With that said, the stadium in general was loud. The Cowboys fans who did show up were very loud when we were on defense. It's the ones who sold their tickets I just want to kick in the nuts...bunch of fair-weather opportunists!!!

It is possible that some of the GB fans bought their tickets way in advance and not from Cowboys season ticket holders. It did not look or sound like 40-45% on TV, but I know being there is a lot different.

Texas Stadium is no different than any other place GB plays.

They ALWAYS have a ton of fans at every game. Best supported team in the NFL.

From our corner end zone seats, it was 40-45% AT LEAST.

Totally, totally agree with the OP. It was a neutral site, but the fans who were there (on both sides) were very loud.

I am curious... are there signs that read "make some noise" when we are on defense and then a "quiet down sign" when we are on offense?....

I have seen that before... somewhere...

Sure it's possible. However, every Packers fan I spoke to around me (and they were very nice and pleasant fans by the way) said they bought theirs on Stubhub or Ebay. Regardless, if your scenario is true for "some" of the fans, that means the Cowboys fans are not buying tickets at the beginning of the season which then enables the visiting team to buy them. I dont care what sport or state a professional sports team is located. Last night's attendance disparity was unacceptable in my opinion.

Except for one instance late in the game, I'm glad the PA didn't pipe in a "DEFENSE!" chant like the American Airline Center does EVERY 30 SECONDS at Mavs and Desperados games.

Fans find a way to get tickets. I remember a couple years ago it was the same thing with the Steelers.

We have 36 tickets for the lions/cowboys game, I am willing to bet that at Ford Field it will be pretty close to 50/50, we always get a big turnout for the game.

I agree with this. They have pretty cool fans.

Yes the packers fans in the upper endzones opposite the players tunnel and the the lower endzone I believe they bought in group tickets, buying large blocks.

It was in the paper in milwaukee about a month ago that many packers fans planned a trip here in april because they like to travel to warm cities. That is where the out of town fans always sit, no big deal.

Now onto what jeff was talking about and brad sham complained about on the broadcast. Those cheeseheads in the lower levels between the 20's and the upper level between the 20's those are season ticket holders who sold out because they could scalp them.

I have complained at length about scalping and how much of a scumbag you have to be to rip off your fellow fans to make a profit. I dont and will not ever understand it.

The good thing is if we play again there wont be nearly as many packers fans there because they would only have a week to prepare and it is not like planning 8 months ahead of time for a vacation.

and like jeff said there were many packers fans there, but we still were louder except for that one 3 play sequence in the 4th quarter, to which romo hit crayton and shut them all up.

oh and one more comment, 3 out of every 4 packers fans I saw were women and they were all wearing favre jerseys.

My wife and I noticed a lot of couples where the guy had on a Cowboys jersey and the girl had on a Favre jersey. I feel sorry for those guys.

While I agree with the sentiment, GB was nowhere near 40-45% of the fans in attendance last night. I would guess it was actually closer to 10%. Still that is way, way too much. It says something for GB fans, however, that they would travel in such numbers for a Thursday night game. I spoke with a couple of fans and they said the waiting list in GB is 33 YEARS for season tickets so they travel to away games because that is easier than seeing a game in GB.

There were a lot of Packer fans but the home crowd that was there did a great job.

Wade gave them a shout out in the locker room after the game.

Exactly!! People were sqawling before the game that there was over 20000 Packer fans there. I watched that crowd all game trying to get a feel if there were that many.

I knew there were a lot but I didnt get the impression ever that there were that many Packers fans in the seats.

Romo even said it was the best crowd yet he's played for in TS.

I do not understand why the scumbag owners have to charge 35k just for the right to pay him another 2k a year in season tickets.

Guess what you need to off set the cost of the owners bending over fans for the almighty dollar as well. So i don't really care that those people sold there ticket for a profit. The owners are gouging people for tickets as well. Lets not even get into some of the other practices where teams lets ticket companies buy block sets to sell etc etc. and some other shady practices that owners of sports teams have been caught up in.

There is plenty of blame to go around
