I am sure Jerry listens to Emmitt, Michael and Troy. Doesn't make it right but I think Jerry is heavily influenced by them. Emmitt thinks Zeke is still in his prime and Michael and Troy like Dak so I expect Dak and Zeke to be around for a few more seasons.

Is Elliott willing to take a paycut?

idc what fans say we had a 800 yard and 1000 yard back with 0 fumbles between the 2

that means we had A ELITE rushing attack.....i know we hate saying our players did good

now if you can get a better back that Elliott to contribute then you do that....yeah the rushing attack was amazing last year but Elliott at that much rushing for 800 aint a good look

21 is a has been at $10 million. Slide his money over to Pollard.
you cut 21 and you owe him 2 years 12mil.. you can keep him and restructure to that number, if he takes that he is usable, 900yards and 12tds in 15 games, yes 3.8 YPC not great. 12tds 5th in the league in rushing tds. The OL and OC had a lot more to do with the fall off. ES22 year 7 12tds and 3.7 YPC guarantee ES22 was close to the highest paid RB nearly all his career, Like i said i get it but for the right restructure you could keep him and pay him the same as cutting him, maybe you do so.

Did anybody expect Emmitt to say Zeke has to go?

Emmitt knows better than to speak ILL of any current cowboys players…..especially running backs.

im pretty sure he would be more candid about it with family and close friends that he could speak freely with

Elliot alone has a 2023 cap hit of $16.72M per spotrac. That is a catastrophic number. If the team cuts him, his dead money will still count $11.86M against the cap.

Either way, it's a tragedy.

Think of what the team could do with that money! That money could bring in a game changing FA, or 2-3 really solid players.

This perfectly illustrates the kind of management decisions that yield mediocrity.
