This is not new , you people were never right. It's not that Emmitt is saying something NEW. He speaking common sense. you can't always get new and shiny toys at every position.

RB is not an area of need,

We need to focus on an Olineman and a D line man not edge rusher, A run stuffer .We could use another CB to pair with Diggs

I tried to document this in the past. All I will say is that Tyrone Crawford spent years as sone of the absolute worst value in the history of the NFL. He is a poster child for the issues this team has and the dysfunction of the front office. He should not be allowed to show his face in public.
they chose him over murray and that was a mistake.

yeah but he wont, as long as E takes some sort of paycut he is still here, and probably the starter lol.
Poor Zeke he knows he is finished. The first thing he did right after the season ended was tell everyone he would take a paycut to stay. LOL

Zeke is a fullback now. If they keep him on the roster he shouldnt get any more carries as a hb. Use him like Moose.

Zeke can still be good in situation football, but he can't be the Bull anymore. By the end of this season his tank was running on fumes.

I think everyone agrees Zeke can't be back on anything close to his current contract. However, he did score 12 rushing tds last year and had some productive rushing games so its not as if he carries 0 value.

I'm in the camp of throwing a restructured contract at him if he takes it, thats fine. If not then the Cowboys just have to prioritize RB on day 2.

Emmitt is out of his mind. Elliott needs to be released yesterday. Pollard shouldn't get franchised but signed to a 4 yr deal with incentives, never killing the cap.

Yes, Emmitt and others losing their minds. Pollard and Zeke can go and we will be fine gentlemen. Too many good backs out there for cheap and plenty to draft. I like Pollard but $$$ can be better spent. We made this mistake a few years ago! Facts.

Who says all Elliot is good for is 900 yards a season ? Since we are speculating, let's, shall we. Emmitt restructures and next year rushes for 1100 yards, 14td's

Tony get's a deal done and rushes for 1300 yards and 10 td's we have a potent rushing attack and we can focus on what needs to be focused on, Oline and Dline help

and a CB to pair up with Diggs

Starter?
Get out!
Hopefully Jerry is more of a football man than that!
If Jerry keeps elliot and he takes a paycut Elliot will be the starter and they probably get equal carries, or E will get most of the carries,
as Pollard will be coming off the injury.

Hopefully Jerry is more of a football man than that!......... :muttley:
I gave up on that when he made JG HC

Actually, it's probably a popular opinion inside the team circles. It's my understanding Zeke has quietly become one of the most respected leaders in the locker room and inside the Star. Whatever happens, look for MM, Jerry, and Stephen to treat this with a soft landing. How many times have we heard Jerry and Stephen attach warrior to his name?
Oh, scoff!
Zeke being a wise, greyhaired icon, respected in the locker room ... just cut it out.

Zeke has exulted in his big contract and as in any business, he will have to move on, blokes and whiners.
Respected in the locker room does not buy one ounce of squat during the football season.
Production matters. Or should. Jerry seems to not know how to let go.
